Ok, so I started writing a bit about INFJ's to a friend and ended up with a quite big amount of text. The friend was sopose to be an INFJ and I wrote this to ask her if she agrees with it. She agreed with it perfectly, almost everything fit she said. She said she especially enjoyed the introversion part. So now I'm asking every expert, is this truly an INFJ description or is it just some random facts put together?
General:
INFJ's are people, who like to give advice and tell people how to fix things. They are problem solvers, that solve other's problems almost ignoring their own. They are dedicated listeners. They can usually tell when something is wrong with someone.
Feeling (dominant functon):
They like helping people, taking in bits and bits of information as a whole through their intuition, checking it again and forming a solution the individual at hand would be the most comfortable with. They are good advisers and prefer to make people happy. The process they use is so unique and complex, yet simple and usual. They are also deeply devoted to their beliefes. They have good social skills and are good at helping people, yet are unaffected by society. They usually can make many possibilities from one issue, sticking to the one that seems the most useful.
Intuition (supporting function):
Their way of thinking is based upon the hidden meanings of things people usually percieve as ordinary. They are very complex and dedicated, usually smart and understanding individuals. They know how to help people. Their beliefes to which they are dedicated to are based upon the hidden meanings of things they can percieve from the most ordinary things. From this information they then build the previously mentioned beliefes, fantasies and desires. Hidden information that seems crutial to a personal understanding of life. They guard this information 24/7, as they consider it their most cherished possesion, something that they and only they will have no matter what and can always rely on it. They love symbolic meaning as that is what they try to build from their information, later triing to represent it to other people to see who they can trust.
Introversion:
However, given their quiet nature, they can become very social and chatty if they believe a person is worth trusting. Though they never reveal their personal information to people, they want to and enjoy being in the company of those they know are trustworthy and are able to use that trust properly. Once they know a person is worth trusting, they will give them permission to access their "private area", reliing on them when they need help. Because this does not happen often, they are usually found to be rather alone, but still in society most of the time because of their great skills to help people.
Judging:
They are structured people who base their life on beliefes and hidden meanings, feelings and situations of themselfs and other people. Because they are well structured in this manner, they are capable of taking care of themselfs and are extremely independant, yet they need society. Since they prefer to be alone, they will not search for society, but if they are left alone for too long, they will start getting the feeling they are unwanted and unneeded, which can lead to long lasting emotinal trauma.
*I seperated this after I wrote it, so it's a bit mixed up.
Hope I got it right...
