How could you do this to an INFJ? :) there are no words.. I mean its very hard to manage the emotions I feel or where to start. Let me stir and I'll be back.

a state of mind where two become one,
where we love because we need to
dependence is the strength to stay together
stronger than the music, fluid like a breeze

    In love, all the songs made sense;
    Life felt complete and right
    absolute trust
the feeling of forever in a moment

I am convinced that we lump way too many distinct ideas onto the word "love" in the English language and that that's why we have a hard time with the concept. Believe it or not, there's a lot of study in the field of linguistics to backup this claim.

So! I'll return the question. What are YOU talking about? Being "in love?" Total crazy hormonal blindness and self-sacrifice combined with obsessive thought patterns and desires that make everything else in life seem about as real and relevant as the steam coming off the top of a cup of tea.

This state NEVER lasts, though. Never, ever, ever! (Mind you, absolutely everyone thinks that it will for them.)

Since that's the case I claim that there's a tougher version of "love" out there that has more to do with loyalty and trustworthiness while still being self-sacrificial and other-centered. The emotion set that goes along with this is a lot more sober, quiet, and hidden. I think that it's a million times more valuable for that, though.

One of these loves is fun, the other is steel.

Returning to your question, though, did I pick up on something of what you were getting at?

I believe love is feeling extreme dedication toward another person (or animal, or plant...) and having positive emotions surrounding that person, wanting them to be happy, and wishing the best for them.

    omg! love......is something undescribably amazing..
the feeling , that u hav found someone to be yours and yourself to be someone's(in a good sense.=) )
love is smthing soo amazing that i feel that it is a test...to see whether we will choose it over the many other obligations we have to our world, people, country, religion..
it is too much to describe in a post..

    There's infatuation, there's trust...and then there's love.

Love is what comes after the initial "oh wow, he/she's so awesome!" moment. It's wanting the best for your loved one, whether or not they reciprocate.

I've posted this before so this is a copy and paste.

Love is a whisper, so I would talk softly to you.
Love is a dish, so I would serve it to you on a platter.
Love is beauty so, I would show it to you with a mirror.
Love is a bond so I would stick with you forever.
Love is blind, so I would close my eyes with you.
Love is a song, so I would sing with you.
Love is a game, so I would play with you.
Love is a road, so I would walk with you.
Love is a bird, so I would fly away with you.
Love is my words, so I will tell them to you.
Love is time, so I would wait for you.
Love is water so I would tread it with you.
Love is a mask, so I would wear it with you.
Love is passion, so I would fulfill it with you.
Love is a treat, so I would share it with you.
Love is bold, so I would share my strength with yours.
Love is a sacrifice, so I would give everything for you.
Love is a journey, so I would travel it with you.
Love is a word, that I can say with you.

Also, love is a symbol and that symbol is equivalent to infinity.

My religion teacher has said many times that our dogs don't actually love us... It's just their "instincts" that makes them seem like they do

What an idiot! Of course dogs can love other living things, love is just a bit simpler for them.

Which love? Each love we feel is different ... the love for my mom, is very different from that i feel for my dad ... siblings? Cousins? Friends ?? ...

before the divorce, it was very simple for me .. it was being able to see your future in her eyes, and hoping that when death comes, she is by your side. At that point, you would ask her "Did I make you happy?" and she would say "Yes."

but not so nymore. It'll be a while before i trust someone with those feelings again - if ever.

Now, I love .. but my music, my work, my parents, --- and in some strange way .. i'm beginning to love myself - considering that if there's no one left in the world that needs my protection than my own self. Call it the beginnings of a path down selfishness .. i consider it the first step in a path towards reconciliation between what I aspired to be, and what I had become.
