    How do you get out?

    I often find myself trapped within my own thoughts and dreams. There just comes a time when your mind is bursting at the seams, unable to keep anything in anymore and you just have to let it all out.

    Am I the only one like this?

    If not, what do you guys do to free yourself? I usually write (sometimes in the Vent it's teaflower story hour), but I also do stage work. Singing, dancing, performing... that kind of thing.

    I used to draw. Sometimes I write music, but lately I'm in a mood to write words. I went so long feeling like I couldn't that I appreciate this option more than ever.

    I write (journalling, blogging, poetry) and paint. Lately I've also taken to drawing cynical cartoons depicting whatever is on my mind.

    To free myself?

    I make music.

    I research things.

    I get drunk.

    I have quality time with friends.

    I shoot shit in the face.

    All these things are incredibly retardedly very therapeutic for me.

    Besides the mentioned methods I love to go jogging.
    It is a great way to free my mind.

    I usually write, talk to somebody, research what’s on my mind, maybe watch a movie, listen to music or sing.

    And at times where I have become shut-in and depressed with my negative thinking, I go for a walk, or seek out my friends to give me a few laughs.

    I used to write/live/breathe music etc up til 2-3 years ago but I quit that. Now I'm getting into cooking a lot more but it's not enough, and it can be expensive having to buy so many ingredients. My skills have improved 100x though!
    I have very little in my life right now and it is driving me nuts. :-/
    I stopped walking around the block when my doggy died a few months ago and I don't feel safe walking by myself, not in this neighbourhood.

    yoga, walking, yoga dance, martial arts, reading. I also find that I do better when I have structure; regular meals and exercise, vitamins. Sometimes, however, if something is really bothering me and I get obsessive, not much helps and I just have to ride it out.
