Where on the other hand, I've always tried to survive in this world by engaging with the public the least as possible, trying to get away with minimal damage, i.e. getting hurt. I'm more the type of person who lives under the concept me and my SO together against the world, having each other's back and creating a single bubble of happiness to withstand all the hurdles in life.
You are still better positioned to specialise in hiring disability and diversity practices, able to work anywhere that requires HR.

Well, me vs. the world is my default mode, I wouldn't want others to experience that needlessly when my lived experiences may save others time and energy better spent.

All humans brutally exploit animals, even vegan treehuggers who like to pretend they don't. It's part and parcel of being the dominant member of a hierarchical food chain.

So what purpose would my loving animals serve, when so many essentials of my very existence are harmful in the extreme to them? None. I should therefore focus my attention on ending human suffering first and foremost, and then spending a little bit of time on making sure our exploitation of animals causes them as less harm as possible. So things like using animals for entertainment and gambling purposes - horse racing, greyhound racing, cagefighting, whale shows, zoos, circuses etc. - is obviously unacceptable, and ending this is something I can absolutely get behind. This is abuse of animals. Using animals properly would involve using them for things we need to survive, such as food, drink, clothing, and domestication.
I don't understand why you are pondering aloud. You saw Lemxn's post and popped some questions asking why people care so much, and you got answers. Are you trying to invalidate reasons for people caring? If so, you are trying to do the impossible. As I would be, if I were to give you a counter response.

Been watching Deadwood a bit recently and the show is like a huge audition for current TV. People from Sons of Anarchy, House of Cards, Justified. Even people from old classic movies too. There's a guy from Blade Runner there and the villain from the old Van Damme movie, Sudden Death. As it goes on I keep recognising more and more people. Pretty sure the bartender is the voice of Bill from The Last Of Us too. If he's not? We'll then I found his voice twin.

Some t.v. shows try too hard....

Stop just stop. You're not funny, you're not innovative, you're dumb and so predictable.

    That is all.

Back to paint on the ol' canvas.

By the way, what I thought would be masterpiece #1 is actually now learning masterpiece #1.

PLUS we now have ms purple.... so that's a win!

In other news, sons team won Friday night 49 - 0!!! They looked good playing too! So cool to see him coaching.... I know he's itching to take his team(s) to the state championship. He wears his state champ ring every day... cept when he deals with cows.... hahahahaha No, really, when it's time to take one off etc., the ring stays home.

    Wait! I forgot!
@Lemxn and @Spitta Andretti - I must throw in my 3 cents on the subject of dogs.

First in reading y'alls posts you're more in line with each other than I'm sure you realize. Anyway, you each have different priorities and aren't we all grateful for that?! Seriously, if we all had the same, then there would be no groups such as MADD just to name one.

(OMG this just came on and derailed my thoughts - love the music!!!!!!!!!!)

Ok so anyway I want to say I appreciate reading the thoughtful responses and insights you shared. Interestingly enough I found myself both agreeing with parts of what you each said, and then disagreeing with parts of what you both said. However I'm not here to debate. Won't do it. Just won't. I'm a diplomat, an ambassador if you will.

For further clarification on the subject of dogs, I love em! The reason why:

They are the #1 example of what pure unconditional love is. Period. Even when they're mistreated, when they see their owner they still have a twinkle in their eye and are hopeful that this time you're not going to be an absolute prick and kick them or whatever else I can't think about because it will make me physically ill.

I've had an English bulldog, a Boston terrier, 3 boxers (cropped the first one's ears... NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN. Don't know who was more miserable me or the pup on that!), and a pug.

Now then, with all that said. My fellow human being and their condition has to come first. Even with all the love I have for dogs, seeing the plight of what happens to other humans in the world is distressing ad nauseum. It is incomprehensible to me that female children are sold by their parents as sex slaves. Young females..... Ok, I've got to stop right there because the anxiety in my chest is building, and I can't fix the entire world.

But I can be the change I want to see in my world:

You treat a dog bad and I will be in your face. I've done it before and I will do it again.

You treat a person bad and I will be in your face. I've also done that before and I will do it again.

I also can't fix y'all, just my (When you pass jubilee you get to throw in 3 instead of two!)

Rock on! NO, wait, party on!

I can't say I've been a fan of the Allman Brothers, but that still for the YouTube vid has some really nice type.
