If the opposite sex things really highly of me, to the point where I feel romanticized, I will never date you. But once I "date" someone who doesn't think of me in that light, I question what's wrong with me and why they don't see me as the dream girl others perceive me to be.

Sounds like my mom when she's eating. You never know where stuff's gonna end up. Food on her, on the floor, on the dogs... various table ware maybe tossed, lol. (A fork went flying through the air one Easter, lol.) She thinks she needs to eat at 1000 mph. The dogs don't mind, they like the bits that make it to the floor, lol.

Will Ferrell is really overrated too.
Comedians, by and large, don't make comedic movies. Comedians do stand up. Comedians write their own material and live or die by actually being funny. "Comedic actors" work on SNL for a year and think they're the bomb cuz they can almost be funny when other people write all their material for them.

And yes. Will Ferrell is over rated. As I said, I find him not humerous in the least. Feel the same about just about everyone who's been on SNL in the past... 35 yrs, to be perfectly honest.

My friend's mother's friend has been a prison guard all her life in both the female and male prisons here. And the young offenders prison too. She says the young offenders place is worse than Mountjoy because all these young hard lads are trying to prove themselves by fighting each other. The prisoners in Mountjoy make it their duty to beat the absolute piss out of anyone coming from young offenders to set them straight. Let them know their "hard man" persona in St. Pats isn't shit in the Joy.
Yes. That's how it works. In our facility, the hardest of the hard... the (male) inmates that are true bad asess? You rarely have trouble with them. They know they're bad asses, they know you know they're bad asses... and they have that mentality that being in jail is just part of their job description. It's really no big deal. It's the young boys that come in that are always a pain in the ass. The... 12, 13, 14 yr olds who want to be hard, but aren't yet... but they want to impress the boys that are. Those are the ones that give you trouble cuz they always wanna fight someone (including staff), always want to cause a stir, etc. I'd quite frankly rather work max security than to work in a unit with girls and/or young boys. (And what is my unit? Girls and young boys... I think they do that to me on purpose. Assholes.)

Another story she told me was about the time she got caught alone on a stairwell with five prisoners. She told them to move aside so she could get by and the dude in the front started pinching her on the arm without moving aside. She started to pinch him back even harder and the guy caved. They all let her by then. This woman is in her 50's and about a foot smaller than me.
As I told my nephew before he started his career with the state department of corrections (adult prison) last May was that he could never ever act intimidated or scared. The moment you do, you are done. If they back you down, especially at their first attempt, they own you and you will forever be targeted because they know you're afraid of them.

My nephew was on the job for 7 months before he earned rank. He went into this job very prepared (thanks to me) for what he was getting himself into. His two flat mates, who joined the department at the same time he did, have already quit. One made it 5 months, the other made it 7 months... both are older than him. They just couldn't deal with the job.

The boy's compliant now that he has rank, is people not doing their jobs (by letting the inmates do whatever they want.) and therefore causing his job to be more difficult. (because he comes in and enforces the rules.) He was going to have a talk with the worst offender there. I told him what I would say if someone was pulling that shit on me... he's decided to go with a less... aggressive/confrontational conversation, lol. I honestly don't think that will work... but... the boy needs to figure out how to out rank people who're older and been on the job longer than he has, I guess.

Mutinous minions... I kinda like that. Unless they're actually mutinous, of course.

Ah... ok. I've seen this guy before. Not like... a whole episode or even enough to be familiar with his name, but... I've seen him.

Never understood why it got so much hate. I had originally planned to install Classic Shell but I've never had a need for it.
I suspect it received so much hate because the average person who owns/operates a pc isn't at all tech savvy and they've grown accustomed to things as they are. The only experience I've had with Win8 is when my dad got a new laptop and then tried to set it up himself and made a complete cluster fuck of it all. And I was trying to unfuck it, but had zero experience with Win8 and it was so damned foreign. Also quite frustrating because my dad couldn't remember passwords, his correct email address and Win8 had just launched so nobody knew anything about anything. (We were working with my dad's ISP first, but... they had no clue as they'd not even been trained yet. They transfered us to Microsoft tech.)

I worked on that for probably an hour and was frustrated beyond belief. Fortunately, I had other plans so had to leave my sis to sort it all out with Microsoft. I might've strangled someone had I actually stayed. (The ISP people had already caught my frustration, lol. Poor kids.)
If I buy a new laptop sometime soon from Alienware, I'll be buying one of the previous year's (reduced price) models... 1) for the reduced price and 2) for the lack of Win8. And if those are all gone? I guess I'll figure out Win8, lol.

My mom came home sick. So that's nice. She's got a fever and the sickness, coming & going, if you feel me... ugh. All these people around me trying to give me their germs. Had that girl puking on the unit all night last night and also with a fever. I'm going to end up sick. Just fucking watch. I'm so not going to be amused.

Sam said I'd be working my unit tonight. Normally on Thursday nights I work central control. But Jill is on modified duty and the only modified duty post we have is central control, soooooooo... That's ok with me. I'll just chill and watch some of those dvds my friend leant me. I didn't watch anything last night. Tired as I was, I read the entire night. All but finished with Clash of Kings. I may finish that tonight before popping in a dvd.

Curious what the counselors have to say about the door chewing, window licking taco worm, since I turned in that letter...

And, with that... I'm off to read/write. Got a bunch of both that I need to get to...

After the mess I did in the kitchen I poured my coffe with milk all over my bed and then I threw all the pencils from a shelves.

That happened today, yep. All in the same day.

Your nephew is in the adult place? Jaysus (still have the subtitle from AC4 in my head ). I always assumed he was in the same place as you.

Don't knock something just because it has Windows 8. If I did that I wouldn't have my bitchin' laptop that I have now. My GPU is only 1GB though.
