My questions concerning a possible life-change-thread of an INFP and for others

    Hello there!

I'm new to this site and I want like to ask you something.

I would like to have a place where I can do and experience the following things:

-to talk my being forward and get things off my chest, even if not properly articulated and without me having to suppress the urge to change or delete it the next day
(it might be quite long and confusing because I often wrestle with expressions even in my native language and as you guess it now; my english is worse off, not saying its bad though)

-to express plans and ideas I'm having to change my life for the better. This is so I'm not alone with these sorts of things in my head and so that I have important feedback and advice

-to keep track of progress and regress as I change habits, routines and generally turn my life around, as I'm held accountable to other people than just myself
(in a "if not for me, then because I told them such and such"-kind of manner)

Do you know such a place and is it possibly "here"?

I'm asking this because I don't know any further. Neither have I found the correct internet forum for this nor am I willing to register on a dozen sites for journaling, problems, sadness, lifestyle change, minimalism, addiction etc...
so, I'm not having the things I listed all over the place but neatly in one thread - thats what I'm lookign for.

This might seem overexaggerated, me selfabsorbed or whatever. I'm trying something new right now and this is more than I managed to do since this year began so pardon me. (Im trying not to change my mind tomorrow..)

Why in the INFP-Forum? I'm very sure I am one and it might help others in a similar situation.

    Have a nice day :)

Hi there, and welcome to PerC!

Some of the sticky threads here in the INFP subforum are great for what you described:

    Stream of Consciousness/Vent Thread

Thread of Random Thoughts and Ideas

They're great for getting ideas/feelings out in front of you, and I've found the people here to be very understanding and helpful in my experience. Of course, if you want to share significant things or ask significant questions, you can create your own threads as well; you can usually yield many responses in this subforum. Whatever you choose to do, I hope you enjoy your time here.

I'd say this is a pretty decent place for what you seek. your history (profile one) is definitively a reminder of your previous state of mind, and no one here is judgmental (except if you step on one's values :p)

These seem too narrow focused to me? Here is a place you can do (mostly) what you want, there's (almost) no guideline, so enjoy!

Daring something like this takes its time. I didn't regret this although it was an impulsive idea, which is nice.

What do you mean with my profile history? The personal blog or maybe the biography in "About Me"?

    @Tsarevna Alena

I will follow your advice with the sticky threads. Understanding people I value deeply. Also ones that disagree with you to get your thoughts and arguments straight :p

As for now I'm unsure about how I'm going to approach this, because what I thought of with this is so considerably extensive and at the same time without proper guidelines. Not like "what to write?" but more like "where to start and avoid chaos and confusion?" I'll think of some and structure it and then begin it in another thread in this subforum (and maybe blog too) I guess :)

have you heard of a website called 7 Cups of Tea? It might be more along the lines of what you are looking for out of a forum. Not saying here might not be a bad place to do it too, but 7Cups of Tea people go there just to counsel other people or get counseling. just thought i'd mention it in case it helps you. i imagine the answers on perC might not be that great though i could be wrong and here the blog would probably be helpful for keeping track of progress and journaling

That's a good suggestion, but after having looked into it I decided to do this at PerC. I'm not necessary seeking counseling, but more of a dialoge and interaction at eye level. It doesn't matter if the answers here might be "that great" or don't yield many responses, I'm sure they will be useful and interesting. I want to do this with normal people just like me, not necessarily INFPs.
Because I'm an INFP I think others of the same type understand best where I'm coming from.

I meant your older posts, but then it depends on what you're posting.

Hi. Personality Cafe provides a very valuable arena for self evaluation and reflection. I recommend that you stick to the INFP subforum at first and branch out as you become more comfortable with greater challenges. I say this because on the INFP forum, you'll probably feel most comfortable because you're with like minded people.
