What Type Would Be Best To Date?

"Date" merely being a summarised version of "Be In A Serious Relationship With."

After seeing a somewhat common theme amongst ENTPs as to their... fascination, shall we say, for the INFJs, I came to wonder if any other types had a recurring theme for their preferences in partners.

So, my fellow INFPs. Out of the types- which one would most likely catch your interest, and why? Or is there a type that catches your interest more than others?

I think that if it's a female within my age range, that can deal with my quirks, is loving, and doesn't want to have any children, then I can tolerate any personality type... yet that feels too broad.

I have always like more outgoing women, so I'm not sure about me. INFP women seem great, but I'm not sure if I could handle the mood swings. If they're anything like mine, then it'll be walking on egg shells 24/7. INTP women on the other hand seem to have themselves together, but then they are emotionally distant...

I think I'm better off just looking for someone who "clicks" with me rather than speculate type.

INTJs are interesting. They can also be terrible though, depending.

My vote has absolutely nothing do with my current romantic circumstances, so I'm undoubtedly completely objective now, and nothing of this is motivated by any kind of personal affection, but as for INTPs, it's true. They're emotionally distant. The affirmation is sparse, and once in a while, they'll forget you have a date. Now, look at it this way: If you forget you have a date with them, they'll take it just as easy. You are in a relationship. Your feelings for each other are obvious. Does forgetting something after all mean anyone feels less about anyone? There is a stability and purity of emotion here that no Emma Bovary can provide, and I wish for a life with love in it, not to forever swing. There is also similar social needs, Ne-pong, yet still more than enough exciting foreignness.

And its success completely and solely depends on the individuals behind the types.

ENTp....Go for it. Make sure you do not end up hooking up with some stupid one. (cuz most of them are stupid)! ...Find one.
As you know, ENTPs have an instinctive ability to read people, They'll know everything about you, and their would not be any misunderstandings. Best of luck.

Amusing, considering how much they seem to love boasting about how amazing they are ;P

To go ahead and answer my own question-
I would say I typically seem to get attracted to people who are ESTPs, much to my horror, as they intimidate the fuck out of me. (The horror part was not because I have anything against ESTPs, but because their presence causes me to act like a socially awkward moron... or MORE of a socially awkward moron than usual, anyway. Don't think it leaves a good impression on them...) They're just... different. Everything I'm not, in a way.
ENTPs intrigued me for a little while there but... it's kinda faded now. I really don't see anything working between us. ESFPs would be kinda cool :3

INFPs can be a pain. But they're generally the easiest to understand (for other INFPs - we just 'let them be' ^_^). But I agree with someone above me. ENTPs are immense fun. They have depth, intellect and a comical streak. They can be a bit self centred and unfeeling, but they'll be so interesting you will see past that (I hope lol). I've found that INTPs are also a good bet because they're about as child-like as I am. They have a sense of wonder and an eagerness to learn/discover that I just love.

If you want to chill out and take it easy, I'd say any SF is a very calming sort of person to be with.

I did well with an ISFJ. We've been together for 20 years. I really like his "groundedness". He picks up the slack and is quite responsible.

Any type, as long as we can have a connection.

Umm, as long as my mate loves me, is kind/gentle with me, respects my feelings and doesn't hurt me, MBTI doesn't matter <3
There might be a few problems with Thinkers and INFJs, but it could work with them as well if we both do our best to build a peaceful relationship. There are types I've never met (for example ENFJ), but from my experience I would say that I usually get along better with INFPs, ISFPs and ESFJs. I have no idea how a relationship with an ESFP would be, but the ones I've met are wonderful people - they encourage me a lot, they make sure that I feel at ease and that I express my opinion and a lot of other things - and we'd probably make a good couple as well. I don't know any ENFPs, I think, but I guess they would be fun to be with. And I don't know ISFJs well enough to be sure of anything, but I'd be curious to learn more about them - they look loyal and reassuring. ^^
