    INFP - The Idealists

I've been told that I'm wise only once in my life and that was when I was around 9 by my teacher. It was in English and close to the holidays so she came up with a fun and light activity for us kids to do. We had to write a short fan letter to our celebrity idol. Instead I wrote a thanks letter to my neighbour who had recently helped us fix our leaking roof. When she asked why I did this I told her I don't have a celebrity idol because I don't know them therefore I view them and strangers equally. She then went on and said but they're talented strangers. So I said you can be talented and still be a horrible person but my neighbour doesn't need talent for me to like him, he's a nice man. Something along those lines

In this definition of the word, "Having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right; possessing discernment, judgment, or discretion." INFPs, do you also get called this, or think it is a quality you also possess? Maybe it's a result of having such a strong moral compass?
This exactly. I'm 21 and people always say (have said) I'm "wise beyond my years" or an "old soul". I wouldn't call myself a genius but I just make sense to others when speaking of moral/social situations. I believe it is because of having a strong moral compass that we are considered wise. Wisdom is the practical side of knowledge, anyway. I've also been told I should be a judge. A LOT.
