What type of gifts do the INFP give away for the December holiday season?

    Inspired by the other thread.

I want to give away things having their personality in mind, but at the same time it could be handy to give them things with a practical value as well.

I am going to give my brother a book about nostalgia cars as this is a interest for him, and as my nephew gets commision on these books.

To my sister and brother-in-law, I thought of buying a new coffee maker as their old one sucks.

I don't know what to give to my mother though. It's always the hardest. Any suggestions?

My nephews and my younger brother (age 5-10) I don't know either, I suppose them want some toys. But I know it will end with them not using it after a week....

I bake. Cookies. Candy. Jellies. We have a lot of Lithuanian traditions in our family pertaining to Christmas and there is a very special, very involved (in the making) cookie that I must make every year because no one else in the family does. On Thanksgiving Day, my Dad already was noodling me, that he was looking forward to it @ Christmas. I'm known (in a good way) for all my baking I do at Christmas.

I have two ideas for close family this year. I. Keep. Everything.--> post cards, letters, pictures, notes... I'm thinking of getting out my binding press this year and making copies/a book of things sent to me that I have saved through my many, many years.

Also, second idea -- creating book of my fav recipes, A Cookbook, and giving that as a present.

I only buy gifts for those close to me and always try and find something that they'll actually like.Just little things that tie into bits of their life that have genuine meaning.

Edit: To expand one of my closest friends is getting a home made dream catcher whilst the other is getting a teacup necklace. Its all based off of what I know about them and what they'll like the most. Some people are happy getting home made fudge, some want something well made and expensive, others would do a happy dance if I simply gave them a peacock feather with a little note. Its why I like buying for those I genuinely care about, knowing generally what will be wanted instead of tolerated out of niceness makes buying things a much nicer experience.

    Pretty much what zyzzyva said.

I'd prefer to make this for my boyfriend, but can never bring the ideas to life. If, and only if I've somehow managed to save up enough money, I buy gifts for him, my three best friends, and sometimes my sister. My parents insist I don't spend my little amount of money on them. I try to find something they wouldn't expect me to know they would like, or something practical that I know they need.

It's stressful, I have no money and no idea what to give. I feel like anything I could make would just be lame, can't afford anything, and even if I could wouldn't know what to get.

    HUMBUG.

Bet my last bottom $$ she's made kugelis more times than she can count. I know I have. Wonder if she's made "little ears" (fried bow cookies, sprinkled with confectioners sugar).
