Tips for Dealing better with xSTJs

I am now a co-editor in a student-run periodical at my university, and I'm going to be working with the editor, who I suspect is an xSTJ of some sort. Her thinking is really linear, and she seems to have no patience with my N ways of thinking and indecisiveness.

Communicating my ideas to her is a chore, because I have to slow myself down and make sure everything is nicely laid out and linear enough to allow her to understand and not look at me like I just burst out from her stomach. Its incredibly draining emotionally; for me it takes a lot of energy to communicate in this way.

She's also inadvertently insensitive. It seems like she doesn't know what shes doing, but at the same time, she can be quite hurtful and perhaps demeaning.

So I was wondering if anyone has had experiences with xSTJs and if they could offer some tips that would allow me to have a more positive relationship with her.
