This happens to me quite a lot.

The more I write, the more I worry about the quality of the words I've just strung together. I ask myself, am I really adding anything to this conversation? If I have doubts, I just erase everything I've written and move on.

I do this a lot. I think I just sort of have to get out my feelings even if I don't post it.

It's a huge problem for this ENFP too, for the record.

Is it with same reasoning? :)

I was thinking of typing up a reasonably long response to this, but find that I agree strongly with pretty much everyone who came before me. Which is generally another reason why I do not post often. *closes eyes and hits submit button*

I'm only posting in this thread to say that I was going to make a reply, but then after I typed it out, I changed my mind. Yes, it happens to me too.

Same here, I wrote a very long reply that was one major complaint.
I put it into Microsoft word and it was 3000+ characters.
It would be more of a blog but i cant post that

If I write out something that long, I'm probably going to post it. But there have been a few times when I've started to write a post and then just stopped.

Aww, post it anyhow if you feel like it. If we don't feel like knowing you that well, we can always skip over it.

...or at least, that's how I tend to think when I'm the one posting.

I have such a bad habit of doing this! On other boards I've completely stopped posting halfway in debate simply because I wanted to get my response just right and knew it would take too long for me to phrase everything properly. I think this stems from having a very perfectionist, all or nothing mentality. I'll start cleaning my room the same way, working on one thing painstakingly, before realising that it would take too long to do everything that way, and just give up altogether until it becomes a black hole of mess. Come to think of it, I do just about everything this way. No wonder I'm so darn lazy! I think the root of laziness isn't carelessness, but an excessive preoccupation with perfection.
