I dream frequently of water as well. On the beach, or wading through water, swimming in water ect. Most of the time the water is murky though unless it's on a beach. It's supposed to represent emotions, and the beach in particular is representative of the unconscious.

@Sily I am VERY tempted to make that picture my avatar.

A few times the dinosaurs/bears have morphed into beautifull women though after I fought them. I don't know, I just have pretty crazy dreams.
About the "what things are meant to represent" thing, I think different things will have different meanings for different people. When I was very young I had a dream that a T-Rex was chasing me- but I doubt that it would represent an "older" version of myself because I was so young.
The women part would support the idea of a tiger showing "raw feminity", so perhaps you have had experience in the past that means you feel you have to fight for women, but when they are won you see the goodness in them.
Some of my dreams are completely mental too, so you're not alone there!
I think INFPs in general are quite creative so I think it's quite likely that we would have crazy, vivid dreams.

    Yay! I love this thread!

My favorite dream is undoubtedly my second lucid dream. At first I was in a normal sort of apartment, and I soon realized I might have been in a dream. To make sure I strecrched my hand out towards a TV and focused on making the screen show static noise; it worked. So then, I flew out of the building into the sky, covered it with dark red clouds (or maybe it was already like that...I don't remember), and started lifting objects out of the ground with telekinesis and making lightning bolts fall down from the sky. It was awesome!

And for the past year and a half I've been having this reoccurring dream where I'm coming back to America. It happens periodically, and in different forms, but it's always me getting to see my best friends again. Though recently, there've been two dreams where the opposite occurred; my friends were the ones who came to see me. I really like these dreams.

And @KindOfBlue06 , you can find more of those pictures here. (and @Sily , I don't remember where I first saw his art, but if it was in one of your posts, thank you!)

I love dreams. Sleeping or day dreams, I just love them. I could go on forever about them but I had this dream recently that I thought was really interesting. I was in a grocery store and I had one of those little baskets that you can carry around. I put a thing of strawberries in my basket and the basket suddenly springs from my grasp and starts sliding across the floor. I chased after it as it made twists and turns and somehow, it ends up killing someone and there were strawberries and blood all over the floor. Then I go back home and I get the overwhelming feeling that someone is trying to break into the house. I lock myself in my bathroom and I realize that someone is taking a shower. I approach the shower and the curtains fly open and my brother and this terrifying looking alien are in there embracing. It was the most disturbing thing. And then I woke up! I felt weird all day after having that dream.

Ok, I think it is time to reopen this thread. Better, than to start new threads about dreams. :) To be honest, I think it would be very nice, if we just make some thread about sharing our dreams and trying to interpret them. It could be very usefull and I think NFs could be very good at this . . . . Maybe Ni is best, but iNtuiton is still iNtuiton.

Well, firstly, when you look at my avatar, you will see this interesting bird. I had a dream about him a day before I entered this forum, so making him my avatar was my way of repay a little for interesting dream.

But I was always interested in dreams. Looking for answers to my troubles . . . . .

I am stuck at my life right now in many things. I have no idea what to do and I feel like I will die soon if something good is not gona happen . . . .

Few days ago, I was thinking how much I need some advice about my work from my dream. Than I went to sleep. This is what i remember:

I was working at some sort of supermarket, standing in front of some shelf. When strange woman or man came to me. (I think it was woman, but it felt like a men for few moments) Anyway, she told me I have something strange with my right hand, that my fingers are crossed funny. I told her I am hypermobilistic (or whats the word in english for being to flexibile with your body) but I dont know about my hand. Than I looked at my right hand. It looked really weird, my fingers were crossed few times. She came to me and started to do something with my fingers. I dont know if she told me that or I just understand it that way, but I suddenly know, that she was telling me about my past and future from my fingers. She was telling me about how they point at different directions and I somehow understood, that it means directions in life. She told me, that last finger is in very different direction than I am now . . . . I asked her a question. I dont know this question for sure, but it was something like - Will I ever be happy or fine? She answered Yes, with strange smile. Like It was sort of silly question for somebody who know it all, or like she was telling me the truth but forget to mention that i will be homeless person for 20 years, before my happy times . . . . Than she turn around and was leaving. I remembered how much I need answers about my work. I shout at her - And what should I do with my work? She smiled again and said - Nothing. That i remember very clearly, after this I woke up.

So, what do you think? :)

Huh. Found a word for that finally. Yeah. I have a paracosm or two I suppose. As for dreams, I've had a series of dreams about this magical being befriending me in the first. We had a lot of fun, we played, etc.(This was when I was 9.) In the next one, she betrayed me(I forget how) and began destroying my whole life, leaving me feeling alone in that dream. Not a good feeling.(This was when I was 11.) In my final dream, she tried apologizing to me by giving me gifts like a car, or video games, etc. I didn't accept them, and pushed her away. (I was 13 when I had this one.) Haven't had another about it since. Or at least one I can remember.

Recently I dreamed that I was stuck in my house and I was being attacked by something(not sure what, just generally evil-looking). I tried to escape. I found the front door, and tried to open it, but I couldn't. I closed my eyes, focused and imagined the outside. I then opened my eyes and found myself on the front porch, breathing heavily. Yep.... I have some interesting dreams.

I would love to find the meaning of these dreams, if anyone could help me with that. :D

I once dreamt I was moulding and floating in the air as some kind of disgusting blob and hiding behind branches of trees. The sky was filled with soft clouds and I lay on them, floating. That's all I remember.

And another strange one... I was looking at the sky and there were spirals in the air distorting everything. The spirals were flying around and made beeping noises and whenever they would beep everything turned white. They all began beeping very loudly and I couldn't see anything. Then I passed out from the noise. Heh.

Your house in dreams is very often symbol of your inner psyche. If there is intruder, it could be some annoing element making you uncomfortable or anxious. It could be important to know, what this evil-looking being is and one more thing - front door not working. It seems to me, that you will not solve issues with this thing by ordinary ways. (front door is the first thing everybody tries.) To dissapear from the house with closed eyes could mean many things and I dont want to speculate more than by now. :) I am just interested in dreams, not expert. ;)
