    Immortality: would you?

    Hey there INTJ typed folk,

If you could have immortality, would you or would you rather not have it?

    And why?

Please note immortality is not invulnerability, so decapitation would result in weight loss rather than death in this case. Perhaps magically, given you would be without several organs of some importance.

no because I want to be reborn as a porcupine

As it is now, I wouldn't have it. I feel as if I'd get so bored, cynical, and depressed in my eternal life. Well, I would probably achieve enlightenment at some point. Eh.

It still depends on what happens after I die. Do we assume that heaven exists? Reincarnation?

Or would you rather us take into account the unpredictability of our future when we make the decision?

Yes. And I'm certain it will be possible in my lifetime.

As for why: really? Why? I'm only concerned to make enough money to afford it.

No, because fear of death is a good motivation, it adds meaning to our life and without it. being alive would have no meaning.

There is nothing I wouldn't do to become immortal. Nothing. Nothing at all. Even if it meant I had to spend the rest of eternity in absolute agony.

P.S: I am not afraid of death. I simply prefer existence.

Death gives life more flavour to it.

I want to be an omnipotent god and the only god in the universe so I can change the world, fix all the problems, and make it good the way I want it and no one could stop me in the slightest bit.

    Race you to it.

    Forever? Perhaps not.

Significantly longer (in good health)? Yes. There's so much I would love to do that I simply can't manage in one lifetime (be it because I can't earn enough money to do everything or simple time), but mortality is what makes life so precious...
