    Identify me, please :)

Hi everyone, I'm Arion. I have no idea what personality type I am, but I think it's borderline INTJ/ISTJ.
I guess I will start by describing myself.

I avoid talking to people at all costs if I don't know them well. Usually (I'm still in school) I'd read a book after the last bell rings and avoid a conversation. However, when I'm with immediate family or close friends, I'm very talkative. I tend to be very verbose, and a few of the dimmer kids get thrown off. :P I'm a cautious, conscientious person and like to think things through. I suck at talking to people.

I'm fascinated by astronomy and all the things the could be, would've been, etc. However, I do have a practical side - for things like math, definite things. I snap at people very easily when I know what they are saying is wrong, arrogant, or annoying. But that is with people my own age. With adults, I give a polite hello, a smile, and just keep quiet if I hear something I disagree with. With adults I am put down easily and they end up winning the argument, with exceptions on occasions with my parents. I try to prove myself and work hard, long, and if possible, find different, easier ways to do things (you can see why I'm a mix). I'm a devoted person. I tend to take punishment fairly, and prove I am capable of things.
At a party I'm the one fidgeting or asking people whether or not they enjoyed Adiago for Strings (Samuel Barber ). If I do talk, it's with someone who understands and is interested in what I have to say.
I like philosophy very much, and writing. I like to think about the concept of life and the stars and the big bang theory and all that in general. I love specifics, like studying the effect snake venom has on cancer patients, but also the big picture, like the origin of Earth, how all social/natural sciences link to form a common goal, etc.

Sorry for my raving. As you can see I'm a bit confused whether I'm an INTJ or not. Thank you for your feedback, everyone.

I'd have to guess you're on the borderline of being ENTJ and INTJ.

    Seconded.

Given the above post to work with, I narrowed it down as far as INTx with relative certainty so the choice between INTJ and ISTJ is a simple matter.

    INTJ all the way.

Totally INTJ. I came to this conclusion even before I read everyone's posts.
    Welcome

You know...it would be better to take these kinds of tests when you're a little older.

I'll take your word. The Myer's Briggs seemed appealing enough, so I tried it. But I don't doubt the possibility the results might differ with age.
