So I found this in the INFP section and thought it would be useful for my fellow INTJS. Courtesy of Nova.

Take issue with something going on in society?

Having a bad day?

Have something on your mind that wont go away?

Experience something so fabulous you just have to express it?

Post your vent here!

+ And a friendly reminder to please be respectful to other members and leave your baggage at the door.

Ugh. I'm not a shit eater, thus I do not want to eat industrially produced meat anymore. How do I find locally slaughtered meat (US)?
http://www.eatwild.com

is a good source for finding something nearby. I've used a couple different places I found through them.

Also, Mark's Daily Apple may not be your dietary cup-of-tea, but they have really good info on cleaning up the diet and how to find more reputable food.

My friend is in Hospice and the end is close. Seeing how others behave......reminds me how much I don't like humanity. It's not that anyone is behaving poorly or even egregiously, but buckets of selfishness that the owners of said buckets can't even see.

I realize that we all communicate love in the way that resonates best with us, but for God's sakes people, he's dying. It's not about you!

(and to the overnight hospice nurse: I realize that you have to keep a cheerful attitude in order to weather the stress of your job. I get that. But seriously, would a little decorum and self-restraint in the face of death kill you?)

Probably because no one would ever want to eat anything so cuddly and cute as this

And therefore demand is way down, so supply is too.

EDIT: also, yay, 20,001 post in this thread. :)
Give me a hammer. Looks like dinner.

Little small though, needs another month at least.

Actually demand fell off a couple years ago, in response the major markets stopped butchering the lambs at 6 months old and artificially inflated the market by letting the stock get older and the meat stores deplete. Simultaneously increasing the cost and decreasing the quality (9 month and 1 year old lamb is basically mutton, which isn't nearly as good).

Due to the rising cost in food (the reason demand fell off in the first place as people spent money on cheaper meat during the first spike) the price normalized at the artificially inflated level. Lamb is actually super easy and cheap to produce. Pound per pound it requires far less grain to produce than beef or pork.

Sometimes I wonder why I bother trying to have/maintain friendships with (most) women...too many things to attend to, too many underlying relational dynamics to keep on top of, too many ways to offend, too much drama. For little return. Ugh.

I almost typed up the whole scenario that prompted this, but then I just got angry that I even have to care about it enough to get me riled up. So I'm just forgetting about it because it all just blows over anyway. I ultimately can't be bothered to give a crap but it's frustrating that this weird friendship dynamics bull has to even be something appearing in my spheres of thought!

Several of my dad's brothers were farmers and when they or someone else in the family wanted to buy meat they'd buy a whole slaughtered pig or get together and share a cow or calf. So after moving from home I bought a 360 liter deep freezer and when my parents bought a pig my sister would buy half a pig each and pack it into small plastic bags with 300-500g bags, sometimes grounding or dicing the meat before bagging it. With calfs we'd share a quarter or a half and my parents and some other relative would take the rest. Dinner that day after the work would be soup made from bones so they wouldn't take up space in the freezer.
I haven't done this in ages as I no longer have a home nor a 360 liter freezer. When I settle down I'll get a new freezer and half a pig!

I think I'm going to be a vegetarian now...

( :p jk... well, maybe...)

That makes sense.

People point out that I can be arrogant at times, but I don't want to be arrogant! I never mean too.

God, that's a problem I'll put on my "To Solve" list.

I just apologize and over-explain that I was born this way (took after my grandfather) and if they are ever offended again, just discuss it with me.

Or I give them random metaphors, saying I'm a cuddly bunny inside, but an impassive old man outside.

I don't know... it wasn't that scary. Have you seen The Grudge movies? Those were nice!

I did. You should have heard my screams.

I was watching while I was on my bed, and I literally slid back so far from the film I fell off the bed.

The only way I can watch a scary film is to plug my ears and cover my eyes.

When I watched the ring oh so long ago, the video reel from the film inside the film would play back frame for frame in my sleep. I was haunted, but I lived.

Oh, I'm a film snob. I do not watch American remakes of foreign films. I watched ju-on, the Japanese film the movie was based on.

My father, who is closest to me just pointed it out to me. I was quite and still as I stood thinking with myself when he asked:

"Have you been told that your arrogant?". Since he understands me most I replied "Yes! It's so annoying nearly everyone I've met says that. It's not nice how they judge!" I was shocked when he said that they were right.

The odd thing is, I've known him all my life and I've debated with him in everything I know and yet, he manages to say that when I'm standing still with a shut mouth...

After he explained his opinion, I admit he was right. He said that I never mean to be arrogant but sometimes people can misunderstand that because of the way I act when dealing with people.

Nah, The Ring was like a comedy for me. I didn't understand it.

There's nothing that could be more superior than The Grudge films, yes the Ju-on Japanese original is so much better.

So, if anyone actually reads this, I'm sorry for wasting your time. (Not really)

Can we all please take a minute and think about how disgusting throwing up is. Sorry if that's triggering or "nasty" or something. Well basically that's all I've been doing since Thursday (I have the worst immune system ever, getting sick is common for me, but this is getting ridiculous). I've seen a doctor and all of that, and nothing seems to be wrong, but I can't keep anything down besides oatmeal and rice cakes. I almost miss eating meat, at least I felt full, disgusting, but full. (As you can tell, I have a weak stomach, so I try to stay away from meat, also, it's rather acidic, and for certain reasons I try to avoid overly acidic foods and whatever, in case you were wondering.)

Basically, I'm just tired of eating rice cakes and sipping on ginger ale for days on end with no end in sight. I can't even keep down soup.

What is this?

And just a moment ago I had a friend lecture me on why I'm either an INTP or a depressed unhealthy ENTJ. The ENTJ thing I san see, because how could I not be depressed when all I can eat is grain products, not even overly good ones? But the INTP thing I don't understand. Not only do INTPs have completely different functions from INTJs, but she just thinks I'm a perceiver because I don't make my bed.

Anyways, I hope everyone is having a lovely day.

And hi @Damagedfinger nice to see you again, with your lovely and amusing siggy.

*scoffs*

Making beds is for squares! Not busy people like myself.

(I'm replying so often cos it's Sunday and I haven't gotten out of bed yet. Sorry.)
