With people I am friends with I will engage them in conversations on fb, perhaps too many.

Stealing people's stuff is not cool though.

Also, for some posters here: stalking =/= researching.

Looking up someone's profile online is not stalking. That is doing a quick background check, the equivalent of asking a friend/neighbour/relative about some person you just met.

Constantly talking to this person or obsessively following their profile is stalking.

disagree. practically speaking there's no way to stop someone from doing it, but that doesn't make it any less of a trashy no-class thing to do.

I admit to stalking almost everyone I get a slight interest on.

As stated in "You know you are an INTJ" thread:

I stalk people only when I'm interested or when my friends ask me to find someone on Facebook/Twitter/Askfm/Instagram. It's kinda weird but I can find a person just by giving me his/her first name or college/work. The weird thing is, I prefer to stalk strangers more than my friends.

All the while when we see each other at school, he talks about the stuff he read about me on my profiles. So eventually, I couldn't take any more idea-stealing and stalking stuff and I just stopped talking to him. That was a shame, we had such great conversations but seriously, I hate it when people want to be like me. Why stalk people?

Yeah, I know one of you will say, "If you don't want people stealing your ideas then don't post them then." But how come everyone else won't stalk me and steal my ideas yet this one person does?

Did any other INTJs stalk their friends before and why?
    are you sure he's INTJ?

No offense, I dont think an INTJ would steal idea's, but then again they could just be a very unbalanced individual. How do you know they are an INTJ if you dont mind me asking? (My sister and boyfriend are both INTP's; all three of us tend to have the same ideas without ever knowing it till we bring it up. I ask them to get out of my head all the time)

I think all INTJ's have a pension for investigating everything including people, its how we keep control of our world, by knowing everything or as much as we can so we know what to expect and it helps us form our thoughts and ideas, as well as plan ahead. I happen to be very private so I dont like to snoop on people, I only do it when I am collecting information that I feel is necessary.

Example, I was in a debate with a girl who kept changing her argument to befit her side when needed, so I snooped through all her public profiles and caught her in a bunch of lies. She was saying she ran and owned a business (in attempt to add validity to one of her statements while arguing) yet her Facebook said she was in school for massage therapy lol. I've also used it to catch ex's cheating, and if I really like someone I might snoop a little, but I figure with time and picking their brain I can analyze them better than with social media, plus I dont like to use social media because consciously or subconsciously people control the content of their media so that they are seen in a certain light, and I dont like my judgment to be clouded by this. Again, this is a personal approach, everyone (even same personality types) are different.

My mother use to say that someone copying you is the best form of flattery, and though I dont like it either maybe you can help this person develop their own thoughts and ideas. They obviously admire your original mind, and I can understand as an INTJ there arent many who mentally stimulates us, for me no one compares to an INTP when it comes to mental stimulation. We're same same, but different haha.

It sounds like he tried hard to show you that he relates to you a lot, like has same mindset and interests.

I like to say that INTJ+INTP friendship could work INTJ only. lol. It will not for INTP.
