INTP-INTJ friendship broke - INTJ stalked me on social media, ALL THE TIME!

Why did this INTJ stalk me? It's creepy you know. I posted a photo with a creative idea and then the next moment, he posts the exact photo on his profile. It's like stealing my idea, come up with your own! Then a few months later, I post something deep and philosophical then he steals that again. What's up with him? All the while when we see each other at school, he talks about the stuff he read about me on my profiles. So eventually, I couldn't take any more idea-stealing and stalking stuff and I just stopped talking to him. That was a shame, we had such great conversations but seriously, I hate it when people want to be like me. Why stalk people?

Yeah, I know one of you will say, "If you don't want people stealing your ideas then don't post them then." But how come everyone else won't stalk me and steal my ideas yet this one person does?

Did any other INTJs stalk their friends before and why?

Online? My friends? Yes, all the time. Because I'm bored, miss them, or am simply curious.

    Why's it creepy?

I don't recall ever stalking my friends or anyone in general. I barely talk to my friends as it is, let alone stalk them.

Call me Sherlock Holmes. I often know things about people they don't know about themselves. Preferred vehicles of investigation include Facebook, Twitter, Google, and Instagram. The INTJ is gifted with a natural ability to research methodically. As you can see, I use this skill for noble purposes (ha). People I stalk: friends, friends of friends, potential love interests, strangers who live lives I aspire to live.

    Stealing ideas? I don't.

I may look at people's social media profiles if I'm interested in them but I would never do creepy stuff like copying pictures or quotes from their profile and such...that is super weird and not really normal for any type. Sounds like an insecure and/or "off" person.

I know someone who is a pathological liar and she passes off artwork she finds as her own on Facebook, even though it's obvious it's not hers and original is easily found. So maybe this person you're dealing with has issues...definitely does not seem connected to type.

This person seems to be very obsessed (which is normal for an INTJ) with you, but the things you describe sounds like rather unhealthy behavior.

    He's obsessed with you.

    EDIT:
And no, I don't think I've ever stalked a friend. I barely talk to them as it is. But when I fought with someone, I think I did check once in a while because I was waiting for them to talk to me again. Anyways - we never talked again, and no, I'm not checking their profile anymore.

Well, I'm an INTJ, and I stalk practically everyone. Give me someone's name, and I've probably looked them up before, but I don't think I've ever displayed behavior as extreme as the person you're talking about. I don't really quite things from people and I tend to stalk strangers more than friends. It's probably part of our personality and wanting to know as much as possibly, although this sounds rather irrational.

Pretty normal, why is it creepy? I stalk people all the time, no matter friends or strangers.

When I'm interested in someone I will talk about random things about them that normal people just wouldn't remember or pick up on to show I am paying special attention to them. Like their stuff on Facebook more than others and things like that, I don't really see it as stalking just paying attention to someone and letting them know about it. I think it'd probably be creepier to never take any action towards someone but build a shrine at home in their honour they know nothing about lol
