    @Promethea
    is there a process to this? like, does someone submit a visitor message or private message or some kind of formal supplication to @Promethea , or do we just keep invoking his/her/its name in the thread until he/she/it shows up to see what all the fuss is about, and makes a call?

    @Promethea
    Are you summoning a rainbow?

    wouldn't that be cool though? A flying rainbow as a pet so when someone annoys you, you can just blind them with the rainbow!

    dude. i know we have a reputation for being a bit short on the social/interactive side, and a little over-comfortable with pure abstractions. but even we probably wouldn't make a pet out of a non-sentient object that was not even there.

    i mean, c'mon. at least a pet rock or something.

    Are you summoning a shape shifting pet rock then?

    lmao

    Speaking of abstractions...

    While walking the edge of a corn field this afternoon in the 95 degree heat with INTJ coworker and one other person:

    Guy (type unknown): This isn't so bad (commenting on the walking conditions and the fact that we aren't in the 9 ft tall corn)
    Me: It could be worse. It could be mutant sunflowers that bash you over the head as you walk by.
    Guy: True!
    Me: Or zombie children of the corn that drag you away into the corn to eat you.
    Guy: <semi awkward half snicker half laugh>
    Me: It's good that my imagination is 10 times more scary than reality.
    INTJ: <snickers>

    Am I being summoned as a mod -- if so, this method confuses me greatly.

    If I'm being summoned as a demon; you used the wrong incantation.

    If you are trying to contact me to investigate an x-file, a PM will suffice, but if its merely to report a post/visitor message/PM, then click the report button or send me a link to it, via PM.

    I hope that helps, but I am really skeptical given the strange nature of these two posts.

    Pic related: I want to believe this helped.

    We're summoning you as a mod to sticky this thread, because really, this is one of the staples of the INTJ forum.

    ohmygoodness. i'm reeling.

    finally remembered to ask my kid about this.

    me: hey, have you ever heard of the myers-briggs temperament thing?
    him: that's the one about functions, right?
    me: yeah.
    him: yup.
    me: did you ever take it?
    him: yup.
    me: someone's been asking what you are
    him: intp.
