I think that the question is very clear. What kinf of risks I should take to be a better INTP? I'd really love to hear your thoughts and maybe your experiences. AND PLEASE feel free to send me a private message if you don't wanna go public.
= I need some ideas and advices. ~ THANK Y'ALL IN ADVANCE
I don't think there's a checklist or anything. And define better?
But if I had to give any advice it would be this;
- Try to agree to at least one social activity per week - not just meeting up with people, but meeting up to do something. a concert, a new restaurant or some other activity.
- travel, alone, to recharge. It'll bring out the best in you if you are anything like me. Its the perfect mixture of alone time to recharge paired with being away from your creature comforts and regular routine - it gives you impetus to do things but you get to do those things on your own terms. Hard to explain but suffice it to say that I try to travel alone for at least one week per year.
For example.
My driveshaft on my car broke.
It needs a new CV joint.
Instead of paying $600 for them to install a new driveshaft, I paid $31.50 for a new CV Joint.
Do I know how to rebuild a driveshaft?
No.
But you better believe I'm gonna learn, and I'm not in the least bit concerned I wont be able to do it.
Talk to feelers and at least consider the validity of what they say. There is a whole world of human existence that’s easy for us to miss. I have found that they will eagerly tell you all kinds of things if they feel that you won’t correct them. Everything doesn’t have to make sense, as hard as that is to accept.
Well...stay hydrated, exercise, don't forget your cool-down stretches, pay your taxes, have something in a savings account, call your parents on weekends...you tell me. *shrugs*
Mathematically speaking, it makes sense to take risks when the expected benefit minus drawback is at least positive. For example, investing into the S&P 500 has an expected annual returns of 8-10%, although it can be negative if you only look at the bad years. But in general, it's a good risk especially if you're young, since risk diminishes over time. Just like flipping a coin once is not predictable, but flipping it many times will give an approximately 50% heads and 50% tails with relatively high level of confidence.
This is just an example, but it can be generalized to.. assess the pros and cons, if pros minus cons is positive, then try it many times especially when you're young.
I'd say go skydiving, especially the tandem where the instructor is with you. It's a lesson in giving up on totally controlling the situation and just enjoying the ride.
