    Any other dual INTP relationships?

I am an INTP and am in a new relationship with a fellow INTP.

    Where to start....

    1. I dated an INTP in high school and was the best relationship I had up until this one.

    2. I had discussed INTP's and relationships with other INTPs through other personality pages and found that most INTPs fall hard & fast, as I do....and obviously so does my SO. I usually don't let down my guard, unless I am obviously with other INTPs. There is just a cosmic connection between two INTPs that I just can't describe.

    3. I had been saying for years that the only other person I would ever want to date was "myself." And...that's what I have now. :) It's amazing so far. It just works. I don't have to worry about hurting someone's feelings or making them feel dumb, which is very nice for once.

So, I would like to know if there are other dual INTP relationships out there. I want statistics. LOL! If so, do you find it works for the both of you? What are the up-sides, and down-sides? Etc, Etc, Etc... :)

I haven't been in a romantic relationship with another INTP, but I do have a couple INTP friends. My best friend is in fact an INTP, and I think that if we were attracted to each other physically we would make a good couple.

You mean to say that you haven't met any INTPs irl? But we're so common, I see one every time I turn a corner.

Intuitively that doesn't seem like a good fit. I don't see what an INTP would bring another in a relationship.

Still, best of luck to you.

I've always been more attracted to other INTPs than most other types, although I do find myself even fonder of INFPs in some circumstances. I think from what I've experienced if both INTPs are interested it works out really well. The plus sides being that they understand and appreciate the need for space and time apart, that silence is OKAY, and that we understand eachother so well (are majorly in sync when communication is well established). I think the cons are that at times both parties will be indecisive, that at times neither of them will start communication and this leads to sometimes unwanted or unneeded time apart out of courtesy, and the lack of a leader/follower aspect (this seems to be a pretty important aspect to some people). I personally really enjoy relationships with other INTPs, platonic or otherwise.

Haha there's a saying that if you are just like your partner, one of you is all you need.

i don't know any INTP women though. I do know a couple INTJ though. At least they have a bit of a different perspective.

I don't really get along with INTPs in person. Don't really know why.
