“There really isn’t a yuck factor,” says Shobhita Soor.

“For example, in Mexico, we’d go with the grasshopper,” says Soor. “In Ghana, we’d go with the palm weevil.”

    Nope, no yuck factor there.

not particularly... back in my 'hood (just a few hundred miles from the border), they used to sell fried, lime, chili powdered and salted, crickets by the bag full... the equivalent of chips or fries.

Albeit it did eventually raise some health code questions.... but mostly on small businesses rather than mass production lines... that got away with far more, neglecting to mention them even though they could probably be counted in its nutritional guide.

and there's the aussie's sugar treats... which make a lot of people cringe even if they have no problem with honey.

    (.. slowness on reply...

I think it was debated here already... even as a hoax, it remains a viable, although likely expensive possibility... and on another site it derailed into a debate on placentophagy, eventually trading out the nutritional benefits and the theories over keeping ones' umbilical cord for a line of trendy bathory inspired cosmetic products instead.... before it was overtaken by peeps that don't want you drinking water because it might kill sea monkeys.

inanities... Mm... but eh, is there really anything that couldn't be wrapped in bacon... that someone out there wouldn't attempt to eat? Or maybe the phantom fish brain that supposedly tastes like bacon... whatever happened with that)
