    INTP Stereotypes

    Tell me what INTP stereotypes you have heard of. This is in no way an attack on INTP's. This thread just gives awareness to the stereotypes of the INTP personality.

    Here is my list of INTP stereotypes..

    1.) 40 living at home in their parents basement.
    2.) 40 year old virgin
    3.) Socially deprived
    4.) Game Addicts
    5.) Atheist
    6.) Geniuses
    7.) Anti social
    8.) Perverts
    9.) Nerds
    10.) Computer experts

    Also: Math geek. Most INTPs I'm familiar with either dislike or are indifferent to math.

    Here some I have heard

    1. INTPs are naive
    2. INTPs are all stoned
    3. INTPs are (way too) serious all the time
    4. INTPs all love Star something (Trek, Wars etc)

    Totally untrue IMHO

    Couldn't agree more. Everyone knows The Last Starfighter (1984) was far superior and that isn't a "Star something" at all.

    There is only one INTP I have met apart from me.

    Whoops, I forget another one is going to University to study Law. I don't know how he will do. If they come from poor backgrounds like me, we simply do not know how to fit in and if we do, we run out of money and can't keep up socially.
