This is a discussion on Feminist INTPs within the INTP Forum - The Thinkers forums, part of the NT's Temperament Forum- The Intellects category; Apparently, we need a thread for this. Where are my feminist INTPs at?...

I prefer the term 'equalist'. Also, the rest of us are between a pc, and a tuna fish sandwich.

Yup an 'equalist' here. PC and a salad, instead of a tuna sandwich :P

Equal rights for all. That being said, it is my nature to oink if they bark.

Modern "feminism" is just an endless circle jerk composed of freaks and rejects that pointlessly whine about nonproblems instead of actually trying to make change in areas of the world where women are actually oppressed.

    I'm a feminist.

    Not really.

I like to think of myself as having transcended the whole 'equality' bullshit.

What I mean is, I really do think I treat everyone as I wish to be treated. No prejudices around here!

So the various equality campaigns don't even register with me because I think their arguments are obvious.

I dunno, I've never really cared for these things. e.g. homosexuals won the right to be married in a church in the UK a year or two ago. To me it's just pointless. It's such a non-thing to me.

I prefer focussing on bigger, not-quite-so-directly-human-related issues. e.g. climate change, alternative energy, etc. Of course these are also human issues, but in a different way. They're real, long term fundamental problems. Whereas a lot of equality campaigns are more to do with personal issues for individuals. e.g. some women actually want to be surrounded by misogynists (or at least don't mind and/or don't care), and some gay couples don't give a shit about marrying in a church. Whereas the real physical global issues are, as I said, fundamental to everyone regardless.
