Well, I've seen these threads on about 4 different forums, so I guess I'm stealing it from all those. Basically, post things that interest/entertain you (not that kind of entertainment....). I'm confident that my fellow INTPs will come up with some interesting things :)

I'll start :
Interesting Mechanisms!

This one's used in watches for second hands!

This one was used in aircraft engines before turbines!

I don't even know what this one's for!

This one's used in sewing machines!

This one's called a constant velocity joint. What?

And finally, the Wankel engine. I don't even really think this one's physically possible.

So, INTPs, what turns you on?

I'm not sure if they use a Wankel engine or not, but Mazda (notably the RX series) makes use of rotary engines that are very similar in design. I'm sure some research could be done to see how closely related the two are.

Wankel engine = rotary engine.

Rotary engines were all the rage in the seventies. There were Wankel-powered cars, lawnmowers, even snowmobiles. They were light, smooth-running with very few moving parts, and had a great torque curve.

Unfortunately, they are fairly inefficient, and early versions suffered from reliability issues that hurt their reputation. Mazda's the only company to continue developing them to any serious extent.

I know this is probably very INFP of me, but I can see how easily this idea could be used in real porn. I don't know, maybe the Japanese have already thought of it and made a hentai movie about it. I wouldn't be surprised.

Signor Wankel (sorry, couldn't resist) stole my idea.

Shark Brain. Yes it looks like a vagina. No that isn't the joke.

Feynman diagram of beta decay.

This is the coolest coin on Earth.

For the sake of thoroughness, of course.

Here.

And a scrambled five-dimensional rubik's cube.

And the same concept in eight-or-nine-I'm-not-really-sure Dimensions.

We INTPs are masters of the pointless.

Edit: If you look really hard at the last one, it seems to undulate. Optical illusion, no doubt, but outrageously cool.

Please pardon the INTJ for so rudely butting in, but I just have to point out that this thread has more or less the same effect on me as it would were it porn (of the more traditional variety) of INTPs themselves.

As Jayne would say, "I'll be in my bunk..."
