I've often heard the saying that INTPs are closer to computers than to humans.... Tell me some of your thoughts and theories on this.

Ps. No expert on this but am interested...

INTPs speaks to life in binary. Is it or is it not? Does it or does it not? Can it or can it not? Should it or should it not? black or white?

We follow flowcharts as a result like grandmasters. People may challenge an INTP in a game of life in binary... and watch them fail because those 10 people will most likely faulter miserably at it.

I wouldn't say INTPs are necesarily binary. Their Ne always has them speculating, brainstorming, and seeing the theoretical possibilities of all incoming information.

We are very complex, and I guess you could describe our brains as being very complex supercomputers.

However, I feel more human than machine.

We do kind of operate like computers. We're the personification of "if...else" statements. Which is both Ti and Ne
There's a lot of if's and a lot of else's.

This is all based on the way INTPs interacts with others they do not know well. We interact rationally with the Fe radiating unconsciously. We are not overly emotional on surface. But this Fe makes us often friendly and positive if being in balanced mood, ready to help with our reason. ALso our feeling function is often less developed and somehow clumsy. Thus we may remind fictional androids to more emotional fellows, Data is quite typical depiction of android that has personality close to INTP.
There are fictional androids with different personalities, but I guess none is quite as popular.

But it's all just silly stereotype. After all, reason is as much humane as emotion and we have both.

Yeah, it's fucking retarded. Everyone knows ISTJs are the real computers. And any "INTP" who thinks in "black-or-white dichotomies" rather than shades of grey is probably not an INTP at all. Sorry, you're a J. And I would bet a million dollars you originally tested that way too, you just convinced yourself you are a "Ti dom."

I wish there were actually true. The internet would become much easier to download into your brain if it was.
