I think that it's really good in breakup love songs (from the point of view of the person losing their lover) when the song is very understanding of the feelings and maybe repeats a line which sums up exactly how terrible it is to feel like that, but subtly changes the line the last time that it is sang to be hopeful and make those listening to the song who are going through that feel a bit better about themselves.
For instance, in the song Always by Saliva, the crux of the chorus for most of the song is the line,
"I just can't take any more this life of solitude, I guess that I'm out the door and now I'm done with you."
But the line changes in the final chorus to,
"I just can't take any more this life of solitude, I pick myself off the floor and now I'm done with you."
It just changes the perspective for the person, it's like a pat on the back and some motivation for them to accept their situation and move on.
I can't think of any other examples, but I like that kind of thing.
