Keys2cognition is pretty bad in my opinion i got really weird results on that.
From what i have read ISTJ's tend to take results of tests for granted even if their result is often very wrong. Unlikely for ISTJ to retake tests over and over fpr 100th time. I don't know how accurate is that tough.
Interesting! I'll redo things like this a lot

Also, perceivers are outwardly judging and judgers are outwardly perceiving; it is a confusing theory, but you do not write like an ISTJ at all. You write like a feeler who is frustrated. My biological father is an ISTJ, so is an aunt, others I know--and they wouldn't let a test tell 'em diddly. :-D

You may be an INFP; many do not like others in general; they are artistic, very internally driven. Think of Bob Dylan but not like, "Oh, I must be as talented as he!" Just look at the man, do some research and ask yourself if he strikes you as "someone who cares about people" in a here/now, one-on-one or generally social way. Nope.

Ignore trolling comments. Not helpful, and you don't have to give 'em attention which they really like--the kinds who write trolling things: Look at meeeeeeeeeee.

    So instead?

If you need anything Mention @BranchMonkey and I will help or find someone who can.
Thank you! I have come up as INFP once before but I think it was with my boyfriend's influence. It's frustrating because he'd taken the test as many times as I have and he always comes back INFP. In fact he is TEXTBOOK INFP. I wonder if I'm influenced much by others because when I've been around other people my answers seem to differ. My boyfriend said I couldn't be an ISFP because I'm not caring enough!

It's all very confusing, I've only recently become into it all but the whole ISTJ thing is getting me down because I feel lost (No offence to ISTJs) but it's definitely not something I saw myself as!

I have two sisters who are ISFPs; niether are "cheery" as the description lists ISFPs. They do not come across as though they care about people "generally"; they care very much about those closest to them. Both suffer from low self-esteem, and one sister does try mirror those around her -- family, and a few others, but it isn't very convincing.

    Still, they are ISFPs.

I wouldn't let your boyfriend convince you of who you are or cannot be either. I mean, I've been married going on 25 years and I trust my best INTP friend more often for advice; she and I think more alike. My husband is an ENFP. He loves me but in many ways he doesn't know me as well as my best friend does.

And remember, it's about "closest" match, not exact match.

Those who get "exact" matches are usually gaming the system. In other words, they know what answers to give so they give them. Then they have their label and stick to it, but that doesn't mean it is the best fit.

Occasionally there are what I call "rank-n-file" types, clear this or that MBTI, but eh, how much room do they give themselves to grow, change, reach UP?

If ISFP feels like the best fit--not exact, but the best, don't engage in debate with your boyfriend on this. I'm sure you got other things you agree on and enjoy: So do those things. :-D

    Hey guys,

SO little update, I took the test again and got ISFP. I tried to answer it as honestly as possible, and I won't be taking it again for fear of coming out as something esle! I'm just going to let it lie (IF I CAN LOL).

I also got my Dad to take the test, because as I said he's the only one that really ever understood ANYTHING. And he's an ISFP too! Which is really cool and makes me happy.

Thanks all for your advice and information (even you Zeus lol). This has been so helpful!

I hope you'll get in contact again on any other threads I post in the future!

    Thanks again.

    @bowie9

I'm glad you took it, were honest, and if you can keep away from the test business, will be comfortable with your match. Nice that your Dad is an ISFP too.

If you want anyone to look at a thread, you know, specific people, always do a Mention with the @ symbol and the exact spelling, spacing for the member. Otherwise, it's just chance: Maybe someone will see it who you want to hear from and maybe they won't because it's a big forum, lots of sub-forums.

    Have fun! :-D
