Do you feel like you belong to several personality types?

    Hello Everyone!

I fairly recently got introduced to Myers and Briggs Personality test and what can I say... I think I might be addicted. The first time I took the test I got an INFP and thought it was fairly accurate, but something felt wrong nontheless. So I decided to take the test again in a week or so. The results did not change. I thought to myself, then I am an INFP. However, I made a friend who, same as me, was addicted to all sorts of personality tests. Once we got to know each other better, I asked him to what MBTI type does he belong. He said INTP, confidently. I believed that it was accurate. Then he asked me back about my MBTI type. I told him that I was an INFP. He looked at me and said , "Nooo, dude... I think you more of an ISFP." So, from this point on I started taking a bunch of MBTI tests to find what I was. The results varied to my surprise. Most tests pointed to me being an INFP. However, some tests that I took said that I was an INFJ, ISFJ and of course, ISFP. Therefore, I think that I might be more of an INFP with a mix of an INFJ, ISFJ and ISFP.

Thank you for reading. I appreciate it. But, I was curious, to what personality type do you guys belong to or do you belong to more then one? How did you find out about MBTI and are you an addict, same as me?

I think that you can identify with neighboured types aswell. Not necessarily 100%, a fair amount.
But the correct one, should be only one. In eneagram it will be more than one.
There are threads in this forum where you learn more about your correct type.

I'm Isfj and feel like Isfj, but I've gotten Esfj and Istjs on tests too. That's because I score close to midline on Introversion vs. Extroversion (Its prob like 55-60 percent intro) and the same for thinking vs feeling, so depending on the test/questions I can flip flop on those measures and get a different result. But I relate most to Isfj.

Maybe you're midline in some areas too?

Yes, all the time. I guess it all depends on what's going on in my life too.

What made you think you're an INFP? How much you relate to being Ne user instead of Se?

    Hi,

    Thank you for replying.
Yes, I always score about 55 percent for Intuition and 60 for Perception.

    Hi, thank you for replying.

Nothing really made me think I was INFP and I am still not exactly sure that I am. To be honest, I am quiet lost right now and do not really relate to any of the MBTI types to a great scale. However, I do relate to INFP the most.

Are you feeling more nostalgic and enjoy relieving your past in kinda sweet, romantic way? (INFP)

Or perhaps you are too observant that you sees, hears, or tastes the nuances in almost everything that most people fail to heed. (therefore ISFP)

I relieve my past constantly... However, not in the way that you describe. It's more melancholic and dramatic, I guess I feel guilty. Another thing, is that I constantly create new worlds in my mind from deep fantasy to post apocalyptic, which I guess also makes me INFP.

Still, if I focus, I can be present in the moment. But it depends on the situation. For example: if I am with the person that I like and feel that this person is genuanily interested in me or if I am listening to an interesting lecture, book, story. Otherwise, I just grab a notebook and draw in it for the rest of the day or read books.
