    Meet an Fi-dom

Hi, there! So, I just came to join you, guys. To tell you, I've been "self studying" MBTI for four years now and I settled my type with ISFP. Not yet sure about my Enneagram type but I'm dying to know! Maybe this forum can help me find my true type. Anyone? 😊

What's your MBTI type? Mind to share it? 😊

fellow Fi-dom. Do share a bit about yourself.

How did you get into MBTI in the first place?
What has been your typing journey into ISFP?
What do you find fascinating about MBTI to have continued pushing it for 4 years?
    Hobbies? Interests?
Fictional characters you can relate to?
What is your philosophy on life?
What is something individual about you that you are proud of?

As for enneagram what are you stuck on? You can go to the enneagram section and ask the folks there. Or you could do it here. What are you stuck on in enneagram?

Hi, thanks a lot for the welcome! I started reading about MBTI and Jungian when I began writing, it's definitely for my characters. I found it very intriguing until I got to dive deep into it. At first, I typed myself as INFP. I only settled for ISFP as I get to be true to myself and accept things as they are. No imagining or idealizing of becoming another type.

My ever favorite thing in this world is Psychology and/or writing. I also love music so much I even listen to a song whenever I write or do the dishes. I constantly wear headphones.

I don't know but I strongly can relate to a fearless surfer Nancy Adams played by Blake Lively in the film The Shallows (a favorite thriller movie of mine) more than anyone else. Everything about the movie is relatable to me.

As for my Enneagram, I still can't decide. I'll just copy paste here what I posted in the other section. I hope you can help me somehow.

    Am I an Enneagram so 4 or Enneagram 9 sx? A sexual 7 or Self-pres 2?

My mind always jump from questions to questions everytime I try to learn about my core fix and instinctual variants. A possibility that I might be a particular type excites me, and then only seconds ago my brain will overthink things from type to type over again. I'm quite indecisive and has difficulty settling with a type.

Ironically, it's more easier for me to type other people than learning what is mine. It's distressing. The reason why I typed myself as a 9 is because I have little grit to fight back, and that makes me prone to bullying. I fear conflict to be honest. I consider 4 because I feel like something is missing inside me; my longingness alienates me from the real world. I can relate a bit with sexual 7 in terms of being idealistic, funny, goofy, or loud. And enneagram 2 self-pres when I am willing to sacrifice and lose my self-worth for the sake of helping out and be in service, for it's really hard for me to say no.

Can anyone help me figure out my enneagram type? I want to understand and find my strong sense of self that seems to be missing. 😞

There is nothing definite yet I can conclude from what you have said. But I would recommend FunkyMBTI as a resource. Their main enneagram stuff is here (https://funkymbtifiction.tumblr.com/enneagram) but many anons have asked them lots of asks about enneagram which they have answered. Looking through the anon asks, looking at the stuff they have written and how Funky comes to her conclusions is a good way of understanding how to find evidence for one's enneagram.

Some good advice by Funky in finding enneagram:
    https://funkymbtifiction.tumblr.com/...enneagram-type
    https://funkymbtifiction.tumblr.com/...5/type-finding
    https://funkymbtifiction.tumblr.com/...related_post=1

Also other good stuff to read:
    https://www.enneagrammer.com/types
Typewatch Enneagram: Typewatch Enneagram Type Descriptions

It all comes down to introspection. Not just the behaviour, but what is driving you.

    Funky's words:
"So read all you can about it. Study it until you have exposed every raw piece of yourself, until you have identified everything that stops you, until you can see all the lies you tell each and every day, until you stop making your number’s excuses and face up to your fatal sin – because that’s what it is: a lie, a sin, that keeps you trapped. Once you can admit to all those flaws without trying to deny or excuse any of them, you are halfway there. You will learn to see yourself clearly for the first time, with no lies causing you to deflect and refuse to admit to your deep, dark core motives. And then you will have the emotional honesty required to identify your lower fixes without any self-delusions. At that point, you should be able to turn your broken attention to the missing fixes and your crap in those areas.
You cannot know yourself until you are brutally honest with yourself. That is the entire point of Enneagram. That’s why it exists. To expose all your self-delusions to you, so you can know what you are doing when you are doing it, and do something about it."
