I heard "Merry Go ROund" last week while working at on renovating a house with my uncle and cousins. My younger cousin put on the country station. Usually I don't like newer country, but I found myself enjoying it while working and thinking "hey even the new country stuff can be good"!

The opening line of this song really caught my attention quite a bit. I love the the feel of this slow country song though and the message may be in the right place.

LOL....I really thought it was him at first. I was like "Wow, I didn't know he could sing! He's really good!"

Historically, I'm not a big country fan, but lately I've been listening to it a LOL of it! Maybe it's an age thing; many songs just seem to apply to me now. I just heard this song for the first time yesterday and I immediately like it. I has a nice feel to it.

definately an Introverted Sensing song. Growing up on the coast, I can relate to this song way too much.

"the ones who havent died or started families, are all just working on building sites or battling with university fee's.
And a girl I used to know made me a promise once, I wonder if she kept it... or if she even remembers it"

That part always gets me. Ofcourse, being Si and Fe dominant it means I'm a very nostalgic person, and I also hold the people that mean something to me very close to my heart. Even if ive gone years without speaking to them. Even if they never think of me anymore.

It's just a part of life, though, I suppose. The friends come and go and so do the girls... I always wonder what their lives are like now, if they ever still think of me... and what they'd have to say about me if they did.

Do any other Si's feel like this?

oh boy...do I.....I remember having a very difficult time after graduating high school, which was about 14 years ago*sigh*. I just wanted to keep my friends! We'd get together a couple times a year for the first few years and now we barely meet, although most of us still keep in touch, it's not like it was. They were the best friends I ever had. I remember at our ten year reunion, 3 out of the 5 of us guys reunited to play a comic book card game in high school called Over Power. We played for a couple of ours. It was nice, but it felt rushed and not relaxing like how it used to be. We used to stay up all night playing that game, while listening to music, watching Tv, and beating the crap out of each other....ahhh those were the days :) Oh well, at least we got together:) I'm the type of person who hangs on to things like that and even tries to recreate those nostalgic moments if and where possible.

Music, movies, and books can create such strong impressions on me that they can be associated with certain memories or feelings. They can create snippets of time periods in my life. When I hear a song that I haven't heard in awhile it usually takes me back to when I first heard it and whatever it was I was doing of going through at the time. I never seem to forget them.

I would say this is a very Si thing.

This song brings back memories of those youthful summers and young love and the fact that my mom was a HUGE Queen fan and our house was always filled with this band's music.

This theme song encompasses a lot of things that I love about music. The main things are good repetitive melodies, catchy backing vocal parts, funny and concise rhymes, interesting instruments( (80s pop band), clear lyrics, and generally a funny pop feel.
