What CAREER do you LOVE LOVE LOVE?

    I'm an ISFJ -------
I LOVE LOVE LOVE being home ---- -but I gotta get a job soon.

I've done tons of career assessments. I know the general areas I like.

I simply can NOT decide precisely what to do.

Wondered who does something they really adore------

Its tough. There are so many careers to choose from.
Could you share us some thoughts/interests?
I'm a nurse student, works for me.

The most satisfying work I can see an ISFJ do is service-related stuff. Peace Corps, humanitarian things. I love exploring ideas too. For example, I'm really into the homo genus and the origin of humans, though I'm not sure if I could do 100% investigative work everyday. Nonetheless, I'm going to college for an engineering or science degree.

I've worked as a companion to the elderly and I really enjoyed that - it was hard at times, and very emotional, but it was almost a way for me be emotional in a place where I normally wouldn't be permitted to be. Aka, work.

I would say that social service is correct. I'm about to finish up my degree in social sciences with a focus on psychology and social work. I love helping people, and my ultimate goal is to work as a counselor or therapist. I love studying human behavior, and trying to figure out how people work, and how I can help them once I understand the issue. It's cathartic for sure.

    Probably hookers or drug dealers.

    Not for me.

    But in general.

    Man. They win.

Helping others is good and all, but I was almost never that much into volunteerism. I'm currently a college student studying Chemical Engineering, and I'm loving it so far! The job seems pretty promising - deadlines, some freedom, etc.

I've always loved drawing so I'd really like to do something in an artsy field. I love looking at concept art and phases of character designs, so maybe something like character concepts and designs for movies and TV shows?

In the likely event I'll never know the right people to get into something like that, though, I think I'd love being an elementary school teacher. When I was in 8th grade Spanish I was offered at our school, but I and a few friends passed on that, and we got to help out in some of the elementary classrooms during that hour instead. I enjoyed that a whole lot.

It recently occurred to me that I need to at least minor in education in college.

I wouldn't mind being Jk-5 teacher or something in the psychology/behavior area

Just as long as all of the kids are not out of control. Though what I know of in terms of misbehaving children is extreme.

gdavge, that's cool that you are studying Chemical Engineering. My roommate I believe is also an ISFJ and he study's it too. I'm a Mechanical Engineer major, but I think engineering might not be my match. I haven't been enjoying the design classes. Maybe it's what I've been working with. I was thinking of changing my major to a pure science major instead.
