Do You Relate to any Fictional ISFPs?

In anime, other television series or movies - do you relate to any of those characters that would theoretically be isfps?

So I've been checking lists of fictional isfps. I've been looking around, in the anime world at least, and I...feel weird about the 'isfp's I've seen there. Can't relate to most of them. Seems they lack something. Then again, even isfps can differ amongst themselves. Still... You relate to any fic isfp characters well? Or of any type for that matter?

Yeah, I know what you mean.
When it comes to a character that I know well enough to comment, I find myself underwhelmed. None of them really stood out in any way at all. They're all very quiet, low-key....and dare I say...unremarkable :(.

but perhaps this is exactly how non-ISFPs view us? :O

I shudder to think... We have depth, dammit! We may not be your typical loveable gun-slinging cranks, but...we're like eff-ing shamans!
    Or at least inconspicuous saviours.

But yes, seems you know exactly how I feel. Unremarkable is a good word choice, as much as I may not like to admit that.
Interesting isfps in anime are Emiya Shirou from Fate/Stay Night and Sumimura Yoshimori from Kekkaishi. I can tell I'd take a shining to them in real life.

I'm very bad at typing fictional characters, care to give some examples of who you'd consider an isfp? :0

I think that maybe its because television and whatnot tends to stereotype isfps for the sake of simplicity. So, these characters end up not being explored as much and may come off as kind of boring. OR maybe its because isfps tend to try to avoid conflict, when conflict is what usually drives a story...thus not interesting. (although, alternatively, the attempt to avoid conflict could be the conflict...I'm not sure where I'm going here haha)

Touta Matsuda from Death Note. I don't relate to him much but... what a baller.

Mikado Ryugamine from Durarara!! was a remarkable character as well. He is introduced as an awkward, simple kid, but he turned out to keep his share of secrets.

I can't think of any other 'obvious' isfps in anime. Maybe Euphemia from Code Geass? She might've been esfp though.

@whist Well, I was thinking and started onto typing Doug characters. um, Doug himself didn't quite do it, but I agree with someone's guess that his sis Judy Funnie was one.

Yeah, for the sake of simplicity it would seem being Fi Se would seem uninteresting, unless the character was a main protagonist/antagonist (lol, an unhealthy isfp antagonist?). Television doesn't like working with quiet characters when they don't have essays worth of thought-information every few seconds.

If they want a good lead story out of an isfp, they'd have to experiment with heavier stuff. Our depth lies in our heads like intuitive people's, but with more realism and stronger sounds, textures, colors and palates. And of course, our sense of conflict and coming to terms with it. We fight if we have to.

@Sgtshanky I'm gonna hafta check those out

I've heard that Will Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean is an ISFP. I can definately relate to the way his character handles things (even though I'm not a pirate lol). I've seen a lot of stoners and stupid people from movies and tv get typed as ISFPs, but I don't believe it. Just because your an SP or use Fi doesn't mean that you won't value more mainstream things like not doing drugs, getting an education, or being loyal. I greatly value those things, its just that I value them on my own terms. I value them because I want to not because I'm supposed to. On TV, ISFPs only get credit for being weirdos or screw ups, and the good things get ignored.

But I do think Will Turner is an ISFP and I glad about it.

Isn't Buffy the Vampire Slayer an ISFP too? She's pretty great.

    Umm... Harry Potter. ::swoon:: ;)

But I know what you mean, a lot of fictional ISFP's are sort of... dumb. But not all! There's a lot of amazing ISFP's in movies, television, etc. I think I do feel like I can somewhat relate to Mister Potter. Jane and Lester from American Beauty.... c'mon! I love them! I find Lester totally relateable. And then Jane Lane from Daria... not necessarily that I can completely relate to her, but she's just so cool.

Even though Angel is male, I see myself in him, and when he is Angelus (ENTJ) it makes sense how I can be when I am not feeling myself.

I can't find a good example, because WB doesn't like their stuff on youtube.

I remember watching Death Note, but can't remember much of it. I youtubed Matsuda and remember him now. How was he a baller again? Like a ladies' man?

Ah, Durarara!! is that anime that just aired on AS. Coincidentally, I was trying to type him when I first caught sight of him. I did relate to him somewhat, though I still wonder how much. I've only just started watchin', so I'll hafta wait to judge his isfp character. Those secrets you mentioned sound redeeming.

I've tried looking Turner up. I haven't seen the movies. What's something that tipped you off about him?

Stoners and stupid people, eh. e__o People had better recognize that anyone can make those personal choices. Smoking weed and being softheaded, and screwing up, aren't values, so they do not strictly apply to us or any other persons.

I dunno 'bout Buffy, but if she is then it's another notch on our belts. isfps can be the stars. lol
