Does anyone here NOT love the Big Bang Theory?

I've seen so many references to BBT on this forum, that I thought I'd make a thread out of it. I started watching the show like 5 months ago when another ISTJ recommended me to it. I was skeptical at first since I usually don't like "scripted" TV shows, but I soon realized that it's basically the best show ever.

So what are your thoughts on the show? Do you think it's particularly funny? What aspects do you think cause you to like or dislike it? What personality types do you think it's geared toward?

    Thanks in advance everyone!

I've only seen the Big Bang Theory a couple times, it's alright. The reasons that I don't like it as much as I could is that I sometimes feel like the characters are a bit too unrealistic for me. I haven't seen it enough to say for sure though. I think that xNTJs would like it, it seems to fit them the most. I think that us ISTJs would like it for the same reason, even if it's not always relateable to us. I feel like all of the humor is based on viewers being similar to the characters, so that they can say "I can relate to that!" and have a good chuckle at their own dispense.

Eh, but that's just a bunch of guesses on my part. Especially since I haven't seen a lot of the show.

BBT is awesome! Fell in love with it after watching an episode overseas...

Meh, I'm not a fan of TV in general. I have seen an episode of Big Bang Theory... it was alright, I guess.

That's true. I was thinking that some people may find the characters too "over the top". Good point, as well, about the characters being relatable. I suppose this is why one would think that ISTJs and INTJs would like it.

    As Qadosh once said,

(It took me forever to find that quote, lol.)

So I guess it appeals to the nerd in (most of) us.

I also have an ESTJ friend who likes it a lot, although she is too busy for TV.

I watch it every week. I haven't missed an episode since season 2. I even went back and watched all of season 1.

Geek humor is more funny to me than regular humor that anyone would get. Also, I can relate to their social awkwardness and confusion of social protocols.

    no, its crap.
i've only seen it in pieces, i used to tune in every fridaya t 9:30 thinking it was south park, but its not south park. i've caught only slices of what they decide are jokes, like the guy who needs to correct everyones grammar, like is that supposed to be funny? not funny.

Thanks for being the counter-evidence to my hypothesis. I appreciate your input. I won't get into South Park though... lol.

I also forgot to mention that I love it when I remember what equation/theory they are talking about on the show from my physics classes, and it makes me feel smart. So that's a bonus. Hahaha.

I love that show sooo much. I'm just as big a nerd as they are, just much less socially awkward. And to be honest, those characters are NOT over the top for actual scientists... haha. I know a 'Sheldon' at work, and a Howard at school.

The only character I like is Sheldon. The only reason I watch the Big Bang Theory is because of Sheldon. I don't find the other characters funny/entertaining.
