part of a joke? not meant as a racial one but rather its like the first time you meet someone and you say. "Hi, i just escaped from the mental asylum, do you have cookies?" and then proceed to grin like a maniac before you start acting normal. Thats a stone dead killer for a surprise if you do it to someone who doesnt know you. Works like a charm to get the mood up in the room =]

Yes, it is a joke.

maybe it's nice to introduce one self, although I've alreday kind of spilled lots of info on me in other threads
Well, I'm 26 and from Sweden. Currently live in Stockholm and will soon graduate from art college (seems that I'm pretty unique on that, any other ISTP around who has an artistic profession?).Finding out about MBTI and, of course, especially ISTP. has been a such a blessing! Now I understand myself a lot better.
Since I'm a woman I have never really been "allowed" to be nerdy, and I don't have the typical nerdy interest (like lord of the rings, world of warcraft, programming, etc etc, I totally hate that shit... No offense ), I rather tend to get stuck on things like tv-shows, clothes, guys and stuff like that which has made me feel really ashamed and freaky all the way through my childhood and adolesence. But now I have sort of gotten a litte more peace in mind, finding out about ISTP. <3
Thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences in this forum! It has been a pleasure reading and I'll definitely stick around.

Now, maybe I'm being hyper-sensitive or maybe I'm in a nasty mood...either way I found the joke to be offensive. I thought it was common sense err...I mean common courtesy to stay away from jokes that referenced race, religion, political views or sexual orientation. Maybe I just have more class and decorum than others so I'm just going to hold my mule and keep my opinions to myself. Don't use MBTI as an excuse to be ignorant and tasteless.
I apologize to the OP and every else that had to read this ignorance but I felt that it was necessary to address the issue within the thread. I think it would be in good taste to inbox me if anyone thinks it's necessary to go into further detail about what I've said.

I thought it's not a joke though I was able to pick it up. He said, "I like hip hop and I am not black.", he just mentioned the he's not a black is because hiphop is always being associated with blacks.

bah, but istp jokes quite often are a bit rough on the edges but most of the time hilarious anyway. So what if it steps on someones toes, its not meant as an offense ever ;)
