If we could fix the spammy ads and the horrible server for this site we might actually be able to get more people over here?

The ad problem that used to happen here was ad-hijacking that used to redirect your browser to full-page malicious ads. I haven't seen it happen recently at all, but stuff like that destroys the trustworthiness of a website. So no surprise that they don't want to come here.

The servers are slow at times, the databases just can't keep up with the page requests. I don't think there's anything they can really do about that though. That's up to their parent company to address. :( Probably has something to do with running PHP though. PHP is the worst XD

Game mods are getting prompts to start sign ups when there are 7 or 5 players ( depends on size of the game ) alive in the current game. Game mods also get another prompt when the above occurs. This is to allow overlap and was decided at the poll last April.

We have two dynamics in place:
    1. At times, sign ups are not occurring when they should.
    2. Large games are not filling.
    1) As the sub-forum moderator, would it be prudent to have game-mods submit their sign up posts and/or game start posts with their submissions via PM or QT, that way they can be posted in a timely and consistent manner? I hate taking the responsibility off of the game-mods to post things in a timely fashion, but that may be the only solution.

    2) I don't know what the definition of a large game is (x.x I should... even been meaning to run a game here at some point, but I have to co-mod first, shout-out to anyone who wants to bring me on for a "test drive") but personally, large games tend to be really swingy, unbalanced, multi-ball setups, and it's just really eh. Like Benr's game right now, 4 scum teams. Eeech.

    2. We will continue overlapping the games, but with sign ups starting on day 3 of the current game. Game mods will be prompted and will have 48 hours to post their sign ups. If nothing is up, then the game will be moved to the bottom of the que.
    1) I don't see why it is cringeworthy... it makes sense.

    2) This is a good solution. Props.

hmmm. Thinking that when a game is submitted to the que that that be part of it, or a definitive time in advance. Pain and I will talk it over

Cringeworthy in that we hate to see games not filling up. I also want to add, that with the large games, the replacement base is minimal at best.
