Increase Power is going to be Recess themed. We might need to push my game back. The latest date I think I can start my game is June 19th. After that, I probably won't have time to mod until the 23rd of July. I'm still working on some of the roles, but as of right now, that's the estimated time frame with how my vacation is landing this year.
Per the game que
Please PM braided pain and Siggy with any changes in games. ( from the first post in the game que)
FYI all the ruling for this is because game submissions and changes may need private discussion. And post quoting and such will get lost in the other discussions.
Ok folks an FYI
Owners large game will be running next, as she has time constraints and the que isnt exactly bursting with games. After her game we will go to Moonies
If something in a game isn't going how you planned or expected, or you made a mistake (or just didn't do something correctly), how do you roll with that and fix it? Do you have any specific approaches to dealing with this and not getting upset/letting it affect the rest of the game?
Overly personal backstory embarrassing example:
I have severe adhd and am also a perfectionist. It's not a good combination (although it does have some perks like creative thinking), I've found that when I plan basically every tiny detail of a game it generally goes really well. When something happens badly though (or outside of my control/ things I've accounted for - like in my last game sickness) it's incredibly difficult to not spiral into a mess of it all being much worse than if I could take a step back for a second, realize what's going on, ask for help, etc.
I don't know if anyone has this issue, and it's embarrassing to ask. I'm working on the perfectionist thing in therapy as well as processing for it, but in this example it would be a be an entire session of explaining mafia and such which seems a bit ridiculous. So if anyone else has issues being a perfectionist or asking for help when you need it, but also like modding games, how do you deal with it? I think I've been lucky that most of my games haven't had these issues, but even one having them is too much. I don't want it to be an issue again.
So if anyone has go to recommendations if something isn't perfect, that would be great! Thanks.
