before someone says 'define girly girl' i mean like being into make up and wearing high heels that sort of thing.

This can be true for anyone in my experience.

My INTJ sister loves wearing makeup and dresses. She is a typical girly girl....in appearance. But she doesn't act stereotypically "psychologically" female either. Talking to her feels different than talking to most women I know...can't explain it. Similar to the INTJ males I've known, just in makeup and a dress.

I could say ISTJ women might be more likely to be feminine because they want to follow the "status quo" (gender roles), but then there's me who is not feminine at all in dress/style. Really just depends I guess.

I definitely agree with that. It might be because the ISTJ woman can resemble the ISFJ woman at times and they tend to be seen as one of the most feminine women around.

idk what the hell happened to the poll but pick your answer based on the question on the thread not what is written on there cause i'm looking for the one that you could see as being a girly girl not feminine even if some might consider both to be the same thing.

    Well, it's not xNTP.

If the definition is "being into makeup and wearing high heels and stuff" that would probably be ExTJ women, as they would be more prone to care about presentation.

And yet they hardly fit the image of the classic demure damsel, so I question your definition of "girly-girl."

I have known real girly girls of most of these types, and also more tomboyish women of most of these types. Obviously not the most rigorous argument, but I would guess that what correlation exists here is a rather weak one.

I know quite a few IxTJ women who seem to enjoy cultivating their style. I don't know if it's so much about meeting Te standards as a more buried Fi self-expression thing. It's not as out there as with an FP who expresses themselves that way, but it seems more about personal pleasure than status-focused.

You could probably come up with any reason any type might be a girly girly though. It's not like the reverse is true....I know many F men who are not into fashion at all and have quite terrible style, and I have definitely met T men who put more thought/effort into their style.

When I first discovered MBTI and tested as INTP, one thing I got stuck on is how female INTPs are often said to not typically fuss with fashion or makeup. The utilitarianism ascribed to them was foreign to me. I have always been a girly girl. That wasn't my ultimate criteria at all, but it was one of many points that led me away from INTP and prompted me to look into other types.

I have a few close girl-friends, my BFF is INFP, another is INTP, I have another who is ESTP.

Out of all of them, the ESTP (Rachel) is the most girlie. She loves being a wife and enjoys being a mum. She really likes clothes shopping too, inane girl-talk...
    Really bubbly and very feminine...
Far more feminine than my INFP friend (Wendy), who is gothic and vegan in fact :D
My female INTP friend (Becky) reminds me of Hermione Granger. She's great to converse with on an intellectual level, but is a definitely a jeans wearer.
