Why do INTJs tend to lack trust/faith in people/humanity/the world in general?

Certainly other people have noticed the prototypical INTJ's general lack of trust in people, life situations etc. why is it that this type in particular tends to lack trust in external things? Could it really be as simple as that their dominant introverted intuition perceives many possible outcomes to a given scenario, causing them to anticipate potential bad outcomes? Or do you think instead that something could have happened to them early in life that caused them to become hypervigilant and thus rely on this (seemingly hypervigilant it's self) introverted intuition function, which causes them to read into situations and constantly wonder about or fear potential bad outcomes? Your input is much appreciated, but explain your reasoning please. Thanks in advance all.

It can be through having suffered though some bad experiences especially early in life as is the case with so many introverts like ourselves in general.

Maybe cuz not a lot of other people are as efficient and capable as someone with Te high in the stack. Probably it's better to ask the INTJs though.

The non-bolded part sounds more like Ne than Ni, and the bolded part doesn't necessarily follow from the non-bolded part, so I doubt that they are related.

Depends on the circumstances in which they are perceiving as many possible outcomes as possible. Ni does this quite well, generally when they are trying to formulate a plan or hypothesis and need to think through all the possible outcomes in order to find the most efficient route. For Ni, it tends to be about responsibility and making sure things are efficient; for Ne it tends to be more about being open to as many possible options as possible for the sake of being open to as many options as possible, not necessarily having to do with functionality or efficiency. In short, Ni just wants to make sure they consider every possibility so something unexpected doesn't happen to mess up their plans, for Ne they just want to believe that "anything is possible" and this is their basis for considering so many possibilities. If you look at an Ni dominants considerations, they tend to be rational considerations, whereas an Ne doms considerations tend to be more fantasy or imagination/ideal-based.

Lots of people go through shit, not just introverts. The difference is how people deal with it.

Because humanity sucks, it is quite entitled and self-destructive.

Nah, certain individuals suck, humanity as a whole is more or less neutral/flexible/varied in terms of suckiness levels. At least that's what I've noticed.

I think the main problem is there are more weak people than strong ones, and weak people are easy to manipulate. People with good intentions usually try not to manipulate people while people with not so great intentions or more self-serving ones are more likely to do it, hence suckiness.
