How to spot a pseudo NT? With Textbook example.

Usually, I couldn't care less when I meet hateful people online or when they horribly mistyped themselves. But today I'm stepping my foot into this muddy water because I recently had too much dealing with SFJs therefore I'm certainly not in an openminded and peaceful state so pardon me if you find some of my messages offensive.

The purpose of this post is to justify the image of NT types because there are just too much pseudo NT types claiming they are us when they are the exact opposite(not saying any type is better or worse than another since the example I'm providing is definitely not healthy whatever his type is). Real, healthy, mature NT types are not arrogant and we don't think we are superior than any other types. Enough of this now let's get to the example hhh.

    https://qr.ae/TUhQSG
The link above is an answer at Quora on this question: "I’m an INTP and thought I would join a few closed social media groups with fellow INTPs. Most of them are arrogant and full of themselves. Is this a common trait? Do I most likely posses this but not notice it?".

I read the answer and was a little confused with what he was saying because the hate and intellectual look down he expressed certainly doesn't align with the experience I had with INTPs I know so I replied.
INTPs are humble, nice, and extremely openminded(more openminded than I am I'm an INTJ) creatures and when they come off as intellectually condescending(because they are extremely knowledgeable in some areas and are really deep thinkers) they most likely are unaware of that because of their inferior Fe. And when they are aware that they are being intellectually condescending it's mostly because of their frustration that no one around them understand them so they piss off people on purpose so that they give them space, but they certainly don't think they are in anyway a greater being than anyone else. Immature INTPs I know sometimes even have inferiority complex thinking they are socially incompetent.

I'm the replier and don't get me wrong I don't think mbti types is related to intelligence(well maybe to certain type of intelligent like INTPs are book smart ESFPs people smart). What I described in the first reply was how I felt during the time when I was depressed and really f*cked up. I think all types are equally capable and no one type is better than another even though some types value things I place no importance in. We all have a place in this world. It is sad that this pseudo 'INTP' has such extreme views on typology, looks down on people(non-existent because no one is worse than him), and dislikes his real type.

Quora or himself deleted a comment but luckily I received an email and have the quote if you are interested here it is:
"Blah blah, confirming everything I said, blah blah, using your marginal intuition and a concerted mental effort to try to insult me with guesses like I did you, (cum burp) blah.

I honestly just don't care anymore dear, take whatever victory you will."

What's the moral of this post? All types all equal and no type is better than another so there's no reason to label yourself as someone you are not I guess? Hope you all reading this can be able to truly love yourselves, your strength and weaknesses.

And if you have any other example of mistbehaviorse's behaviours share it with me I'm curious.

P.S. what I've done by calling out on what he based his whole identity on is probably not a good idea but you gotta allow a girl have her bad day XD

Can Admins help me move this to INTJ or INTP? I dunno which I'm INTJ but the example I provided is a pseudo INTP. Also how to edit the font of the title? I'm new so I have no clue.

I agree with you that arrogance isn't an integral part of any healthy type. Therefore, it's not necessarily a mistype, it just might be some immature people being braggy. I'm sure there is a lot of mistyping in all MBTI types (and enneagram), but not all bad behavior and distasteful attitudes can be attributed to MBTI. Like the person asking Quora (not me!), I've also been surprised about the weird tone in some social media INTP groups - not necessarily even assuming that INTPs are somehow superior beings, but more like we're all total psychopaths without empathy, without feelings, without any real friends or any interest in making an effort to function in peace with the actual world around us.

I don't know if those people are correctly typed, but they may very well be. They're wrong in assuming that those are problems that all of us share, but if it gives them comfort to feel like "INTP" is what explains it all, I don't want to deny them that comfort.

INTPs are of course just like any other type in this regard: the type doesn't tell you about your skills and competence, just your preference. You can be very skilled at what you've had to work hard at, or even crap at what you'd prefer.

I initially misunderstood your post as I don't see your specific reply and assumed you meant that reply was you.

    Anyway, point still stands.

It seems a bit of a contradiction to talk about accepting your true type and that no type is better but simultaneously say "I recently had too much dealing with SFJs therefore I'm certainly not in an openminded and peaceful state". That's completely hypocritical and doesn't make it okay just because you want this to be in an NT section.

Secondly, just because someone doesn't agree with you or has a different perspective doesn't mean they aren't an NT. You're saying the poster is "completely" opposite to you. Well, duh. INTPs and INTJs have different functions so that makes sense. So because you don't agree with them they must not be NT? Lol. Y'all need to stop acting like gatekeepers of types.

Anyone who thinks they are smart and asocial will inevitably mistype as INTx. Everyone who's emotional and shy will type themselves as INFx. Welcome to the shallow world of MBTI.

For all you know you might actually be a different type of ESFJ :/

What about those who type as STJ? Who are they?

    It's not inevitably a mistype...

But yeah, any type can be smart or stupid. The short MBTI descriptions tend to be very flattering - not just for NT:s but for all. What a world it would be if everybody was like those descriptions, having major important strengths and only very minor flaws, if any...
