    Do you know anyone like this, and what type are they?

    So far Se and Ne Doms have been suggested to me a lot - because of their tendency to lose interest (or have it diverted) rapidly.

    That sounds like either type 4 or type 9 on the enneagram. Now I'm leaning towards type 4 since playing hot and cold is being sexually competitive.

    Type 4 and type 9 correlates with Fi.

    Any type with a command of Fi may fit.

    The one that I know who is acting hot and cold is INFP.

    Fi is "when and what I care about".

    @GJN94

    I was told a lot when I was younger that I ran "hot and cold" but I never understood what it really meant. I sincerely think it meant that the boys I liked wanted me to go further with them and didn't like it when I wouldn't. I also required a lot of introverted time and my boyfriends didn't like that. For example, one of them lived about 2 hours away from me. He'd visit every weekend to hang out with me and his friends. One weekend I just didn't feel like being around people so I told him I'd see him the following weekend. He made the hot & cold statement, too.

    Introversion definitely lends itself to appearing hot and cold even when that isn't the intention.

    Its seems coincidental that there are 9 seducer types and also 9 enneagram types too.

    This is very true. I will cycle between being active and involved in everything and being withdrawn and aloof. It has a lot to do with how much energy I have ready to commit to things outside of myself.

    Exactly! Extraverts are such relentless energy expenders, although sometimes that can lead to them burning out.

    I beg to differ :)

    It's not that we expend energy. I don't! But doing things, like going out charges us with energy. When I come back from the outside, I feel filled with energy that I'll expend by staying alone. But I don't always feel the need to have energy and I will stay in. Actually, most of the time I will spend time indoors, even if it makes me bored and sleepy after a while. Or I may feel the need to go out, at least to buy something from a store, something, anything to interact with the outside world, at least for a bit. So no, we're not necessarily all party animals :) I actually avoid parties like the plague, but I'm always up for a sports' event. I like the crowd chanting atmosphere.
