Why do all of the bad matches involve S types? Like... seriously... the whole chart makes us S-types look like we're just bad at relationships in general in a way that N-types aren't. "N-type + N-type? that'll totally be just fine, maybe ideal, regardless of other factors. Thankfully you don't have an S-types around. They've got strong tendencies towards close-mindedness and can't have positive relationships with people that aren't the correct personalities."

"NF + any S type ever = horrible don't do it unless it's the ISFP+ENFJ match who're perfect" seems like a gross and unfair statement to both S-types and to NFs! Neither NFs nor S-types are magically incapable of understanding eachother or meeting eachother's needs!

"SPs in general are bad partners unless you're just the right person for them." Hey! Screw you! (I'm teasing, but still, not cool and not true! I've met tons of ESTPs and ESFPs who were committed, loving, compromising, and open-minded partners for their significant others despite their flaky reputations!)

Yeah, I think most people here thankfully do realize that as people mature, they have a better command of their lower tier functions and therefore are more balanced and equipped to deal with their weaknesses. There are a few that are hilariously ignorant, but hey, they’ll learn.

I can not imagine myself happy in a romantic relationship with an extravert. I need my home environment to be calm and quiet most of the time for me to be happy.

This is just my own personal preference, though. I can see arguments that opposite types help to become more "well-rounded" or whatever. It's a good idea in theory for me, but I cannot share space all the time with a person who isn't temperamentally reclusive and calm about human interaction.

    I suppose I just lucked out with @hornpipe2 . : )
Same. I strongly believe that introverts are better with other introverts, and vice versa. Introverts and extroverts together long-term is a recipe for conflict, IMO -in terms of needs for space/solitude/socialization etc.

Especially considering every extravert I've known eventually comes clean about the fact that they think introversion is some kind of mental illness.
