    INFP - The Idealists

Healthy/ Unhealthy versions of each type.

I'm new, so I'm sorry if this has already been made a thread.

I think it would be useful to discuss the healthy and unhealthy side of each personality trait in one place so that every type can easily see it. We interact with these people every day. I'm curious what healthy/unhealthy means when it comes to personality.

If you look it up on the internet you get bullshit about how you have to be extroverted and business oriented to be healthy, which clearly isn't the case for every personality type.

If anybody knows a whole lot about certain types, and can provide real life examples it would be appreciated.

    Thanks :)

    INFJ - The Protectors

healthy INFJ - emotionally mature, empathetic, tries to be fair and just without being judgmental, tries to be supportive and understanding, appreciates the relationships and is able to have healthy trust and dependency for others.

unhealhty INFJ - emotionally manipulative and selfish, has highly unrealistic expectations and is not happy with what he/she has, thinks that he/she understands the ultimate truth about humans and just sees their negative sides, not able to trust anyone, not able to get past disappointments or betrayals, drowns in own sorrow and self pity, defends what he/she believes blindly.

(not all traits appears in the same person, these are just possible traits for each example)

    Unknown Personality

ENFP - Gets more chaotic, dark sense of humor, obsesses over destroying stuff / blowing stuff up etc (with a more malicious intent than just casual 'joking'), isolates, starts brooding and over-thinking (maybe coming off as ENTP), tends to be more pushy and demanding when normally are pretty chillax and respectful of people's space and time, might start manipulating or playing mind games ex: "Haha I possessed you! And it's awesome!"

Every person is different, but in general and from my own experience..

Healthy INFP - Has a soft, gentle demeanor. Really tuned in to other people. Supportive and nurturing. Emotionally expressive, but not explosive. Happy. Charming. Friendly and likable, although not necessarily "outgoing." Sensitive to themselves and other people. Able to put aside their own feelings in order to be reasonable, if needed. Sympathetic/empathetic, likes to help and uplift others. Has convictions, and stands up for their beliefs. A lot of them are humanitarians, or their work involves caring for people in some way or another; healing, teaching, etc. At peace with the past, enjoys the present, optimistic about the future.

Unhealthy INFP - Likes being depressed. Might insist otherwise, but doesn't fool anyone. Often in denial. Withdrawn. Whiny. Excessively sensitive and emotional. Takes anything and everything personally; becomes deeply insulted or hurt by benign comments. Prone to outbursts. Very irrational. Dwells on negative things. Blames the world, their family, their ex, etc, for being unaccepting of them and/or directly causing their sadness. They kind of act like perpetual middle-schoolers.

    ESFJ - The Caregivers

    From my own experience

Healthy ESFJ: When I'm healthy I'm, generally, happy, optimist, kind, fun, trustful, reflexive, full of energy, friendly, caring, empathetic, supportive.
I share my positive emotions and feelings, sometimes I try to share my negatives too when I really need to.
I share everything with friends, I feel appreciated by them and I try always to make them feel that I appreciate them just because of themselves. I came up their best and my best when I go out with them.
I care about my needs in this way I could care about other needs too, without having problems.

Unhealthy ESFJ: When I'm unhealthy I'm pessimist, , aggressive, reserved, oversuspicious, impulsive, tired, anxious, selfish.

I noticed that at my worst I want to be helped by others without asking it directly to them. I feel like I'm always bothering others with my problems and my worries so I don't tell them about these, but at the same time I hope that they would being aware of them and would help me. When it doesn't happen I could feel very bad and quite depressed.
In the past I realized that in these situations I started to manipulate others in order to make them realize how I suffers because they don't are aware of my needs.
I become to be very vigilant with others, I distrust others and I become very reserved. I see danger everything.

    INTP - The Thinkers

Unhealthy INTP: Very self-critical, hates his/her own apparent incompetence, cynical, extremely withdrawn, generally misanthropic, over-thinks things to the point of extreme anxiety and/or depression, etc..

There are no unhealthy versions of type, but there are weak functions of types and people behave badly there in general.
