Would you prefer to lose all the memories you have now or never be able to make any new memories? Which one would you pick if having to decide between the 2? And why

Loose the old, in a heartbeat.
I always think what's to come is much more interesting than what's been before!

Can definitely do without but wouldn't junk it all unless there was a chance at an entirely new and preferably happy life as I've had to go through a lot with family as well personal over the years that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Those who are not all left brained and open to the spiritual are at least aware of life after death and reincarnation so there is always hope of another chance.

    Its a very interesting question!

I would keep the memories I've got. When I think of not remembering the connection between myself and my husband or my children, then I'll be fine with just sitting where I'm at. Of course, it kind of feels like asking me never to learn anything new... but I've got a lot of music memorized, and even though I hope to master all social skills to be able to work even better with people than I do now and have even better relationships, at least I'm not usually hurting my family now. So. I'll sit here rather than lose my memory of caring for my kids as babies. Powerful emotions, that. =)

I'd rather lose my old memories. A majority of them represent a dark time in my life that I don't care to hold on to or even reflect on.

In short choosing between retrograde amnesia and anterograde amnesia.

I would rather choose to suffer from retrograde amnesia, you still can build up a quality life and after a certain time you aren't stuck in the amnesia lifestyle and won't stay dependent of others.

Anterograde amnesia give more challenges for everyone involved and will challenge you and others all your life.

I would keep mine as well - when I think of not remembering anything I think of relearning how to walk - talk- eat- dress myself, not recognizing my kids ( the youngest is still a toddler) and how to tend for them - and the memories of my parents- grandmother- family members etc will fade from my memory forever - as you know my grandmother recently passed away - my mother recently lost most of her memories through a stroke and my father is dying of lung cancer- although memories are painful - in cannot bear to lose them at this time .

I'm pretty slow when it comes to spatial awareness skills - when it comes to practical matters - it took me years of practicing to get to where I'm at now ( and I'm horrid )

° I can't bear the thoughts of having my mother sees me immobile and speechless- she might not be able to make it ( she had her stroke due to the illness of her family) last I need is for her to be thrown into a nursing home

I want to lose all my memories.
It's the only way to start anew.

I lose my memories constantly by slowly forgetting all these little details in life. Good thing I have so much documentation, photos and things like that.
