    NT and patience ...

Being a NT and watching other people interact with conflict so poorly makes me loose my patience.
    How do you NTs deal??
Today I had a group project and I would find inaccuracies.
I would bring them up and try to fix them and the others would cooperate but were quick to find any little thing on my part to establish their ego back.
    I found it so dumb!!!
It was a really frustrating day for me.

I have a lot of problems with group projects. Participation can be a nightmare, and the members' standards for a job well done are not the same as mine. I often just shut up and do my bit, but I do take charge sometimes, when I really need the grade and no one is doing anything right. What I'd like to know is how I can get someone to do a task well and on time.

Yeah thats what I found my self doing. I gave in sometimes because it was not worth so much grief. This girl is a Fe and she was like getting her feelings hurt. I wasn't trying to hurt her I was only trying to fix it proper. She gave in but she would attack me when ever she could. It was really annoying.

What were they producing as counters to your propositions?
If you believe so strongly that it was an ego thing, perhaps use a mirroring technique to clarify your point. No-one likes to be ordered, and most certainly, you would find competition if you believe others should not question your commands. Or has someone converted to ESTJ all of a sudden?

haha major in the natural sciences. I haven't had a group project in quite a while. I have no idea how you can tell that they were correcting things of yours just to make themselves feel better, though...

They start getting nitpicky and defensive - often arguing from fallacial premises - simply in hopes of being right and showing that the perceived transgressor is wrong.

    As opposed to what?
Perhaps the initial suggestions are worthy of scrutiny, regardless of how pedant they are. This happens too often. I find it is very true that whatever you want done (to your expectations) is better off done yourself.

but if you do everything your self you wont have to for your self. and it was a group project. not a individual one.

Is that the nit-picking of which trope was speaking daylightsun?
Besides, these discrepancies you found, what were their significance to the end goal of the project? Or what were their significance to the implementation to the project?

It was a presentation and the grammar wasn't correct. So we were going to look like fools.
