I should really just stop talking
me trying to keep up with mafia game thread lol
Experience tells me if I do X as scum what the reaction will be of other players. Experience tells me that the reaction of all players is not equal and only those with credibility in the game are the ones that matter to convince of your townness as scum. Experience tells me that a big wagon at the start of a day phase is not as concerning as being Wagoned late in the day phase so it's better to stay calm than overreact. Experience tells me if dizzy votes you in day 1 he's likely testing you to judge your reaction and what sort of reaction he's looking for from a town read. Experience lets you know what plays work and don't work and what time these plays should be done.
As town experience tells you what sort of moves scum are likely and unlikely to make. What motivations and actions are scummy vs bad/misguided town play. It tells me that every player can't be read the same way and meta is something to keep in mind and playing in games repeatedly with those same players should improve your ability to read them.
Experience doesn't necessarily make you better, but it helps a lot with everything in mafia if you utilize it correctly.
