if you are talking about the inner workings of government like the civil servants then from my experience the best bosses have been ESTJ by far. They are typically fair and get the job done quickly. Not only that but all of my ESTJ bosses do things proactively.

Are any of you actually civil servants? Working for certain types isn't fun. ENTP for example = BAD BOSS. They micromanage and their divisions fall apart. ENTJ not that bad really. They can be pushy but fair. They like to see things get done and can be good motivators. INFP? I love you guys but no. For one they hate the confined cubicle setting and they are too subdued. I can't speak of SF at all. INTP no way. They don't have as much problem speaking their mind as INFP but sometimes you can't understand what they are trying to say. I know one ENFJ boss and she is ok, can't really say anything negative really. Notice I never said myself? We get shit done but we don't like to finish.

If this is about political leaders then everything I just said goes out the window. Government leaders in the inner workings, sorry all you ESTJ haters but they are king and for good reason.

ISTJ, ISFJ- nice, reliable, practical, but not bossy or irritating
INFJ, ENFP, ENFJ- insightful, caring, foster a pleasant work environment
    INTJ, ENTP, ENTJ- duh.

I'd probably like an NF leader the most- i think a leader's job is to coordinate others to do what they do best. i didn't pick any IxxPs because they're least likely to get anything done.

boss; someone I could get along with or reason with
leaders; err, depends what kind of leaders
government; I think that government officials should be pretty well rounded as it seems that if they were they would be more excepting to a wider variety of opinions... (by well rounded I mean low percentages on their 'letters', or perhaps, very comfortable with any type, like a chameleon... does that make sense? haha)

My current boss is an ISTJ...Not bossy, leaves me to do my own thing and knows it'll get done. That's pretty much is my ideal situation...besides me not having a boss.

I want the absolutely heartless and absolutely principled folks in government. I went ENTJ and INTJ, and the more extreme the better, as long as they are committed to a small but solid governmental structure based upon what works, and not some touchy feely "government can cure the ills of the world" mentality.

hahahaha and here people we have the difference between the INTP and INTJ. Eventhough Im not the "Give peace a chance" kind of guy, I still want both.

ENTJ I am fine with but INTJ it really depends on which one shows up. The INTJ or the fake ESTP. The fake one would do a better job where as the INTJ would fail. You know I like you guys so that isn't an insult.

    An entp/j would be ideal.

  10. #19

ENFJ because I'm ENFJ and I wanna be my own boss hahaha

Ideally, I would select INFPs for all of these positions, because their controlling tendencies would be minimal except in areas that actually matter. It would be almost as nice as not having any leaders, except to prevent injustices and cruelty. INFJs would be nearly as good, but sometimes have trouble prioritizing appropriately and would waste time being excessively organized. They would probably do a good job, but they are not necessarily efficient. INTPs... maybe, if they are like cryptonia or trope. ENFPs, because they would make the workplace fun and cooperative, and would ease over any rough edges that might create interpersonal conflict. They would probably make great political negotiators, too.
