Why do we think that men are funnier than women? And why are men particularly responsive to other men's humor? Women, however, find men funnier because they mistakenly attribute funny things to men. A new article explores the reasons behind the stereotype that men are funnier than women and find scientific proof to support it.

I think I know more men who I would consider funny, but I feel like I prefer funny women over funny men.

I always say men are funnier. Women don't have to be funny: dear feminists, women don't have to be everything men are.
Women tend to be able to use their beauty and charm to attract men and get people to rally around them as a support group. Plus women are better at expressing emotion, and tend to have better social skills. I think, at best, women are typically witty rather than actual funny.

Men are typically funny, because, males tend to struggle more socially than females, and don't feel as comfortable talking about emotion. It's easier to joke about how you feel if you don't feel right talking about it. Plus it's an acceptable way for a man to garner sympathy without looking unmanly and to attract women. Let men be the funny ones. We like funny men, anyway XD

I mean I have yet to come across a female comedian that actually makes me laugh.

Men are funnier because men have to make the first moves. It's an acquired skill. The day women gather up the guts to ask men out and take the rejection is the day women become funny.
