Please explain model B's + and - functions

    Ok, so I read that:
A type that values SiNe has TiFe- and FiTe+,
A type that values NiSe has FiTe- and TiFe+
A type that values FiTe has SiNe- and NiSe+
A type that values TiFe has NiSe- and SiNe+

But I don't understand the definitions of + and -functions
