In moments when i see that i have to make a decision that has too many variables or that i am not bothered thinking about i usually just pretend the decision is not there and focus on something more important e.g. socialising, studying for an exam, learning from a TED talk etc

Is that a good or bad habit that i developed?

It's great ... until you lie to yourself in that there is anything more important currently than that decision.

INTJ input: Why postpone a decision? What good does it do you? Unless you somehow gain something by postponing a decision (e.g. someone might do it for you, it might go away with time, you'll get more info with time), there's no reason not to make it as soon as possible. I'd hypothesize you'd feel much less stressed once this decision is made.

It's a good habit. People sometimes worry/moan a little too much about irrelevant shit that you can't control anyway. But in this scenario, if something has way too many variables, then my approach is to make a swift decision on what's best for me or the person I'm making a decision on behalf on [in the long term] and get on to doing better things.

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice.

Pretty sure that's just called procrastinating.
I've become such a master at procrastinating that I now procrastinate at procrastinating. In other words, I've learned to be organized (Gasp! An organized ENTP? Say it ain't so!).

Seriously though, procrastinating can come in handy occasionally, but mostly it just makes more problems than it's worth. Unfortunately, I've had a few key people in my life lately that seem to be adamant about using every choice I make against me, some of whom refuse to make choices themselves, which has spiraled me back into my old habits of procrastination. It's not good!
