This was a question that randomly came to mind recently while I was off in space.

Most people out there have at least a few things that they are reasonably knowledgeable about, skilled at doing, what have you. Obviously, we must know a decent bit about at least a few things to succeed when it comes to everyday living as humans, but in general, do you feel like you're more of a specialist or a jack of all trades in life?

Do you think you know a lot about a little or a little about a lot?

I'm pretty good with trivia but overall I think my interests are specialized. I'd say I know a little bit about a lot, and a pretty decent amount about a few things.

I don't know. Like ST, I am pretty good at trivia and I know a little bit about everything, but I usually tend too specialize in only a few areas(mainly quantum physics, astrophysics, neurology, and psychology).

Still, my friends love to call me "Wikipedia", due to me being filled with a variety of different types of knowledge. They say I'm like a textbook.

More on the "a little about a lot" side. At least, that's the sort of thing I want. Architecture is one of those things too, you're more like a conductor of a symphony whereas an engineer is more like a virtuoso on one instrument. I like the big picture, and to be able to explore lots of things at least a little, and relate them.

Since I dig into a topic that interests me for extended (and repeated) periods of time until I "drained that sponge" of all its interesting information, I'd say I probably know a lot about a little.
At least, regarding the "little about a lot" knowledge that I possess, I make sure not to overestimate what I think I know.

Definitely a little about a lot. At periods I dig into something and sound like an expert; as soon as I lose interest in it, I forget details.

I know a lot about things that interest me
And curiosity often leads me to find general knowledge on other things

After-all, you can't fully reject anything without knowing what it is you're rejecting

A lot about a little because I love to dig into the things I'm interested in. I do pick up new interests along the way but they're usually connected to my main interest(s) some how. So they're more like subcategories. I don't think my interests are that varied.
